Roma and Tottenham Hotspur are among the teams ready to rival Inter for the signature of Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

This according to UK news outlet the Evening Standard, who report that the 23-year-old is a target for both the Italian and English clubs, and that he is considering his future.

Chalobah is one of the players who Inter have lined up as a possible defensive reinforcement to replace Andrea Ranocchia as a backup to Stefan de Vrij at the heart of the back three during the last couple weeks of the transfer window.

The Englishman could leave Chelsea, who have already brought in Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella to reinforce the defensive positions and could further strengthen if they are successful in their pursuit of Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.

Inter are in the race for Chalobah and hoping that they can convince Chelsea on a loan deal, but they will have to contend with the interest of Roma and Tottenham as well.
