Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is only focused on returning to action for Inter and won’t be involved in the Belgian national team’s Nations League fixtures over the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 29-year-old is working towards getting back to fitness and back on the pitch for the Nerazzurri as soon as possible but isn’t targeting a return for Belgium over the break.

Lukaku has been in Belgium in the past couple days where he’s checked in with the Belgian national team medical staff who are monitoring his condition in view of participation in the World Cup in November and December.

However, the intention is not to have the 29-year-old back for the Nations League fixtures in this month’s international break, and he will instead take this time to rest and work on getting his condition at its best.

As far as a return for Inter, Lukaku should be ready to return for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Roma after the international break, but he is working to get back as soon as possible, and returns against either Viktoria Plzen or Udinese before the break cannot be ruled out.
