Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has caused some annoyance within the Nerazzurri by attending a birthday celebration for his partner Augustina Gandolfo right after a loss to Juventus in Serie A, but there is precedent for the incident in another Argentine striker.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that a similar incident occurred with Mauro Icardi when he was a Nerazzurri player.

The club are still deciding whether or not to fine Martinez for attending a 26th birthday party for his partner shortly after the team suffered a damaging loss to Juventus in Serie A.

In any event, this is not the first time that this kind of incident has occurred after a loss to the Bianconeri.

In 2018, it was then-Inter captain Icardi who decided to attend a 32nd birthday celebration for his wife Wanda Nara, and this too came just days after a loss to Juventus in the league.
