Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is still a player on Monza’s radar to reinforce their squad during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Brianzoli are still keen on the 28-year-old, as they plot an ambitious January window.

Newly-promoted Monza are likely set to be busy in January as they had already been during the summer transfer window leading into the current season, their first in Serie A.

The Lombard team want to offload some players, as the nearly forty players in the squad is considered to be unwieldy.

At the same time, the Brianzoli are hoping to add further quality to strengthen their push to remain in the top flight over the rest of the season.

Hellas Verona wingback Darko Lazovic, Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo, and Atalanta defender Berat Djimsiti are among Monza’s target, whilst they have also not given up hope of signing Nerazzurri midfielder Gagliardini.
