Inter target Marcus Thuram has been made available for transfer in the January transfer window, with Borussia Monchengladbach hoping to avoid losing him for free in the summer.
According to German tabloid Bild, and as reported by L’Interista.it, the Bundesliga club are ready to entertain offers for the France international and will sell for €12 million, as he approaches the final six months of his contract.
Thuram has made clear that he has no intention of signing a new deal and so Gladbach are resigned to losing him, with Inter keen to bring him in on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
However, these plans could now be brought forward and the Nerazzurri may need to compete with Premier League club Manchester United for the 25-year-old.
Inter may have received a boost though, with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich considering withdrawing their interest after focusing solely on snapping Thuram up on a free transfer in the summer, and they are not ready to meet Gladbach’s mid-season demands.
