The price tag for Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini is getting higher and higher, which could make it difficult for Inter to sign the 19-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the defender could cost as much as €50-60 million amid interest from Manchester City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich.

Scalvini is a player very much on Inter’s radar as a possible long-term solution in defense.

The young Atalanta defender has shown that he is adept at the Serie A level already, and could experience further development.

The Nerazzurri are considering making a significant financial investment to sign Scalvini, but could ultimately be priced out of a move.

Given the interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, La Dea would be ready to hold out for a fee of €50-60 million.

Accordingly, Inter could have to pursue a deal with a structure that would be within their reach financial if they do decide to sign Scalvini.
