Inter are very keen to sign Club Brugge winger as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries on their right flank should the Dutchman be sold.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that the 23-year-old has the right qualities for the role, and that he would cost around €15-18 million.
Should Dumfries be sold, then the Nerazzurri will be on the lookout for a player with the right qualities to replace the 26-year-old like-for-like at wingback.
Whilst Achraf Hakimi has been linked with a blockbuster return, this would be unrealistic.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal is another name that has come up, but according to the Corriere, no concrete negotiations have taken place.
On the contrary, the newspaper reports, Buchanan’s name is the one that the Nerazzurri are increasingly thinking of.
The Canadian international could have exactly the qualities needed to replace Dumfries, and according to the Corriere is one of Inter’s main targets.
