Striker Romelu Lukaku, wingback Robin Gosens, and forward Joaquin Correa are three Inter players who could be “like new signings” from January onwards.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri do not plan on making any new signings during the January transfer window, but could hope to rely on renewed contributions from some existing squad members.
All indications have suggested that Inter do not plan to be active in the transfer window month, particularly now that it looks clear that Gosens will not leave.
The feeling within the club is that the squad that coach Simone Inzaghi has at his disposal has sufficient depth and quality for the remainder of the season.
The aspect that could be key to giving the squad a boost compared to the first part of the campaign could well be the return to fitness and peak form of Lukaku, Gosens, and Correa.
