Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku are the favourites to make up Inter’s strike partnership in next Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Napoli.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported this afternoon via FCInter1908 that the pair are likely to start the match in attack.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and his Napoli counterpart Luciano Spalletti will both be aiming to start their strongest possible eleven for next Wednesday’s match, the outcome of which could be crucial in the race for the Serie A title.

For Inzaghi, the identity of the two strikers is one of the biggest doubts.

Dzeko and Lukaku are likely to be the two most fit and in-form attackers given that Lautaro Martinez is set to be a late returnee from his post-World Cup vacation.

Accordingly, the pair should start in attack against Napoli.

Meanwhile, in midfield Sky predict that Inzaghi will turn to the trio of Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Nicolo Barella which was first-choice before the World Cup break.

In defense, Francesco Acerbi is likely to start, whilst Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries should start on the flanks.
