Inter are hoping to see a bidding war break out between some of Europe’s biggest clubs to sign Denzel Dumfries.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosort, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are waiting to see if Mancheseter United and Bayern Munich join Chelsea in seriously pursuing the Dutchman.
Dumfries increasingly looks to be the player who Inter will look to cash in on for a big transfer fee in order to meet transfer market goals.
The interest of Chelsea has not waned even as the Dutchman’s price tag has gone on following his exploits at the World Cup in Qatar.
However, the Nerazzurri feel that if other clubs were to also step up their interest, this would be the best way to get the highest possible fee for Dumfries.
The 26-year-old has also been on Bayern’s radar, whilst United coach Erik Ten Hag has also been reported to be keen.
Accordingly, the Nerazzurri are aiming for a bidding war to emerge.
