Italian journist Marco Barzaghi believes that Inter have some different targets lined up to potentially replace Milan Skriniar this summer now that Lille defender Tiago Djalo has suffered a serious injury.
Reporting in a video on his YouTube channel, the journalist named the likes of Stuttgart’s Konstantinos Mavropanos and Chelsea duo Trevoh Chalobah and Kalidou Koulibaly as possible signings to replace Skriniar now that Djalo looks to be off the table.
Lille’s Djalo had been one of the players most widely reported as a prospective replacement for Skriniar at Inter now that it is clear that the Slovakian will be leaving at the end of the season.
However, the Portuguese international has suffered a season-ending knee injury, and this casts major doubt on whether he would be on the Nerazzurri’s radar any longer.
According to journalist Barzaghi, the Nerazzurri have in fact turned their attention decisively to a few other possible options to come in to replace Skriniar.
“Djalo’s name had been at the top of Inter’s list to replace Skriniar, but he’s now suffered a serious injury,” the journalist explained of the situation.
“Now, they are looking at a few other players.”
“First, there’s Stuttgart’s Mavropanos, and then there are Chalobah and Koulibaly, if Chelsea would be willing to loan one of the two.”
