Hernanes spoke to journalists and FcInterNews.it after the game. He answered the following questions:
What were you thinking after the penalty was awarded?
“I thought of getting the ball because I’am used to taking penalties, but Milito is a penalty expert and he was fresh off the bench so he took it. I tried to run after the rebound but I ran opposite to where Curci saved it. I would of liked to take it, but Diego picked up the ball and it’s ok.”
What were you thinking after the error?
“A little bit of bitterness because we could of won. After the missed penalty, I always believed in the possibility of scoring the third goal, but we couldn’t do it.”
Why is this team so discontinuous throughout the game?
“We have to always attack and always concentrate on the details to turn the moment around.”
Above all, there is amnesia in the defense…
“No, the team, even if it’s a single person that makes the mistake, it’s always the squads job to take responsibility because we weren’t able to cover up our teammate’s error.”
You are the profet, now what do you expect for Inter looking at the table and the opponents?
“I always see a positive end to the season because I want to reach our objective. Despite the errors, we are fifth so we cannot give up. We have to continue to work intensely and take our responsibilities.”
What difference do you see between the draw at Livorno and tonight’s draw?
“Once and a while these periods happen, every mistake is taken by the opponents. It’s a period that is going like this, every mistake goes bad. I look at these draws the same way. We have to always be concentrated.”
FcIN asks: What changed when Kovacic entered, you seemed to get along very well..
“He is a great player, with excellent ability to pass players with his skill. He’s not the only one, even with Ricky, Palacio, and Icardi I find myself good. We are strong in attack.”
What did Mazzarri say after the game?
“He doesn’t talk after the game, today he didn’t say anything. In football, you have to be thankful for taking one point home because at the end we could of lost.”

I agree with Hernanes when he says he and Kovacis gets along togather they make our playing organized but the mistake yesterday was when WM took Dambrosio and putted Ricky as left winger the player was totaly lost plus he was selfesh on created chances too late to prepare to pass or cross which made our attacking style predictable for opponents defence
However Kovacis made some great chances direct chipedover passes which could had been ended in goals the problem was when Icardi was surprized and didn’t expect such type of Barcelona magic exsit in Inter
If Kovacis was there from the start we could had finished everything off
Plus hopeless long passes from defenders should really be stopped by WM opponents defenders are solid in areail balls we should more calm and organized until final wistle WM must direct players to be calm under pressure this happens in all recent matches and we looks better without Guarin and Ricky because they are not working with the group always tries to do everything alone such players should come in when you secured the result
I agree that every attack should start from midfield and include all midfield players. that is how it is nowadays, you can rarely see AM finding space in front of opposite defenders, actions should be build up slowly and that is when kovacic and hernanes are brilliant. they just aren’t players like hamsik for counter attacks nor he is player for building up a game. stats and goals will come for all midfielders and strikers in the moment when they start relying much more on kovacic and hernanes duo, since both of them are truly hard on the ball and will rarely loose any possession.
