The agent who brought Marcelo Brozovic to Inter Milan believes the club has made a shrewd signing in the shape of Petar Sucic.
The Nerazzurri had struck an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb and the player’s entourage several months ago. However, they finally managed to register the 21-year-old as their first summer signing in June.
Sucic joined Cristian Chivu’s ranks for the FIFA Club World Cup, and made two appearances in the tournament. Sadly for the Croatian, his first experience with the Italian giants ended in disappointment, as they crashed out of the global competition after losing to Fluminense in the Round of 16.
Nevertheless, the midfielder is still expecting to collect some silverware during his time at Appiano Gentile.
Despite the ongoing turmoil caused by Simone Inzaghi’s exit and Hakan Calhanoglu’s transfer saga among other factors, Inter remain one of the main favourites to win the Serie A title next season, at least based on the odds provided by the best sports betting app online. The odds might fluctuate, but having a good platform in a sea of platforms is a step closer to an entertaining experience.
For his part, Sucic will be looking to cement himself as a protagonist for the Nerazzurri as soon as possible.
Petar Sucic Compared to Ex Inter Milan Star Marcelo Brozovic
According to Vincenzo Cavaliere, a Croatian football expert who brought Brozovic to Inter, Sucic as what it takes to deliver from the get-go.
Despite his old association with Brozovic, Cavaliere argues that Sucic is more prepared.
“Physically, Sucic is more ready than Brozovic was when Inter took him. I was the one who brought him to the club,” said the agent in his interview with Radio Sportiva via FcInterNews.
“They are two similar players. They both have a good vision of the game and many kilometres in their legs.
“Maybe Brozovic, when he came to Inter, was more of a central midfielder, whereas Sucic is more of a box-to-box. Hence, the latter plays a little further forward.
“But yes, they are two very similar players.”
Marcelo Brozovic’s Experience at Inter Milan
Like his younger compatriot, Brozovic made the move from Dinamo Zagreb to Inter, albeit in 2015.
The Zagreb native eventually established himself as one of the best deep-lying playmakers in Serie A.
After eight years with the Nerazzurri, he signed for Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023. He thus joined Cristiano Ronaldo and other top stars at the Saudi Pro League club.
