Inter Milan eased past perennial Serie A mid-table strugglers Torino as Cristian Chivu got his tenure off to a flying start.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri made the Granata look like a Serie C outfit.
It was a dream night at San Siro as Inter put five unanswered goals past Marco Baroni’s side in the round-one clash.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu passed his first Serie A test with vivid colors, silencing his critics on day one.
Inter Milan Trounce Torino on Cristian Chivu Serie A Debut

Inter outclassed Torino on their way to winning a seventh consecutive home meeting.
Moreover, they put on a scintillating performance in Chivu’s league debut as a manager.
Star forward Marcus Thuram ran the show, netting a brace to announce his return to form.
Meanwhile, Alessandro Bastoni and Lautaro Martinez got on the scoresheet to sweeten the victory.
It’s also worth noting that Ange-Yoan Bonny found the net in his first league outing for the Nerazzurri.
Finally, it was an outstanding team performance and a statement win for last season’s runners-up.
I can’t recall ever beating Torino this badly, usually they are a tough nut to crack, they were poor and we were great, tougher tests to come. We will have a more accurate measurement against Juventus.
Berella should leave the team, he’s drop forms for couples months now,he keeps losing the ball to the opponent, none accurate passes.hes finished.
He should be among the transfer marker
Bro he changed his position from box to box to holding midfielder which he never played in. Calm down and lets see how it goes.
sounds like a troll…sour lemons from our rivals. Just focus on your own team to win over Cremonese and not scoring from offside positions against weaker opponents like Parma, “bro”.
exactly
He looked worse than Asllani in this Torino game, makes me appreciate Hakan more. Barella is still our best midfielder but he should be playing in Mhiki’s role and Susic should stay where Barella plays because he was incredible there.
I wish we could swap Fratesi for either the other Thuram or Rovella. We need a defensive mid that’s physical there.
`What….. Do people realise Barella playing as. a deep lying play maker means Inter creates a lot of opportunities non-stop. He’s nothing like Aslani not even a bit. Aslani would think twice before making a dangerous pass while Barella might do it with his eyes closed. Barella playing in that position means defending teams have a tough time by the way Inter just won 5-0 with him playing in that position and I think the coach will definitely use him again
GTFO plastic! your team bought players here and there, but got rekt against mediocre. pathetic
As an Inter fan, I’m very happy when my team wins, especially in such a dominant manner. But I don’t think it’s right to over-praise your own team or over-judge the opponent’s weaknesses. You don’t rise above others by putting others down.
well said!
