Man City defender Manuel Akanji has completed his medicals on a move to Inter Milan, and will sign his contract.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews.
In the last remaining hours of the transfer window, Inter have identified Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji as a transfer target.
The 30-year-old will leave City this summer. The Premier League giants have been working to trim their squad this summer, particularly in defense.
AC Milan had already tried to sign Akanji. However, the Swiss international wants to play in the Champions League this season, and therefore has rejected their offer.

However, the Nerazzurri have managed to squeeze Akanji’s medicals in.
FCInterNews report that the Swiss international flew to Milan today to undergo his medicals.
Now, Akanji will sign his contract as an Inter player.
The Nerazzurri will sign the 30-year-old on an initial loan deal with a purchase option.
Akanji will become the replacement for Benjamin Pavard, who is set to join Marseille.
Does it mean in the next coming matches Bisseck will play because we all know how that will turn out to be. He’s not getting better but just continue to be the one to hurt Inter over and over again while the management remain silent. Like if they do their job and analyse Bisseck matches they’ll find out that he’s not suppose to play in that position with constant errors. I hope Akanji is fit enough to play otherwise just play Darmian for gods sake

You guys are exaggerated. Don’t forget Akanji was one of the most loyal soldier of Pep Guardiola and he was an indisputable starter for Man City for the past years. So don’t tell me the guy is bad. Probably you guys wanted Leoni or De Winter but these guys was a gamble to be honest. I am not worry about this move at all. I am more concern about Pavard leaving and Bisseck staying.

so.. in an attempt to reduce our average age, we replace a 28yr old injury prone with a 30yr old injury prone. while merda get openda, and Napoli get hojlund. merda will have vhlavic (back in form), David, openda, yildiz and conceissao upfront with Thuram in the middle and bremer back from injury. jeez.. our management are so hell bent at taking us back to banter era.

would you prefer that a pavard who can only play ~60% of the time
OR
would you prefer akanji who can play 60% + 5-7 match more?
granted, akanji is 30yo, but clearly he is not signed as a long term prospect, but a stop gap.
