Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu has fared better than his predecessor, Simone Inzaghi, did at the same stage of last season.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, there’s still ample room for improvement despite Chivu’s fine start at San Siro.
The Nerazzurri’s decision to appoint someone as inexperienced as Cristian Chivu raised more than a few eyebrows in June.
However, the 45-year-old has defied his lack of experience in senior management, steering Inter to the top of the Serie A table.
Despite suffering four defeats in the first 16 league matches, the 20-time Italian champions head into the new calendar year as leaders.
Inter Milan Boss Cristian Chivu Fares Better than Simone Inzaghi

Inter have amassed 36 points after the opening 16 Serie A rounds – two more than at the same stage last season.
Furthermore, they’re leading the way in Italy’s top flight, boasting a narrow one-point lead over second-placed AC Milan.
Meanwhile, they were third at the halfway point of the 2024/25 campaign under Simone Inzaghi.
It’s also worth noting that they haven’t drawn a single league fixture under Chivu this term.
