There has been a lot of speculation about the Inter captaincy as long time Inter captain, Javier Zanetti, has now retired. It was reported by SempreInter partner, “FCInterNews”, that there are two favourites to inherit the captaincy from Zanetti. Yuto Nagatomo and Andrea Ranocchia could receive this honour as they are the two with the most experience out of the group.

For next season, the captain is Palacio and the deputy is Handanovic.
Rano is unstable, yuto is better, but Juan Jesus or Handanovic so far is the most consistent player in Inter rite now. And 3-5 years again Kova will be the next JZ4, captain til retire

Handanovic .. First of all, I think we should hold on to him for a long long time. Giving him the captaincy would be a good signal of trust to him from the club. (which he fully deserves for saving us in so many games this season)
Rano and Nagatomo are just to unstable to be considered as captains. You don’t neccessarily need seniority with a club to become captain, but players like Hernanes and Vidic need to prove themselves before they should be considered.
In the very long run it would be great to see Kovacic as captain, when he has matured into the worldclass player I know he will become.
The Captainsy should not be given to the one that’s been the longest at the club, nor the best player.. It should be given to someone who can lead and motivate the team on and of the field, be a rolemodel for the youngsters and someone that makes the club “look big and powerful”
To me , the only clear candidates right now (Allthou pretty new to the club) is Vidic or Hernanes (maybe Handanovic) I just DON’t se Rano (he could be a great leader when a little Older) or Naga leading, motivating and “conducting” players such as Vidic…. Just doesn’t sound right to me… In the past (when Zanetti has been out) it looks like the captains armband has been “awarded” to Nice players for good efforts on the pitch with NO importance on actual captainmaterial.. Think Naga or Palacio….
I hope the Next captain is Italian..Rano is suitable for captain as long as he could play well. For vice-captain should be Handa or Palacio.
