Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan have named Marco Palestra among their top targets for the summer, but Atalanta could spoil their plans.
According to FCInterNews, La Dea won’t let the prodigious Italian wingback leave the club for less than €50 million.
Marco Palestra has gone from strength to strength since joining Cagliari on loan last summer.
Indeed, the 21-year-old has cemented his starting berth in Sardinia this term, registering 29 appearances in Serie A.
Palestra’s meteoric rise at the Unipol Domus has drawn Inter’s interest. However, luring the talented youngster won’t come cheap.
Atalanta Slap €50m Price Tag on Inter Milan Target Marco Palestra
Cristian Chivu’s charges view Palestra as an ideal long-term replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who could leave San Siro this summer.
Furthermore, the Nerazzurri may also part ways with underperforming Brazilian winger Luis Henrique.
Therefore, they are keen to sign Palestra to reinforce the right wing.
Still, Inter are ready to offer up to €35 million for the teenager, which falls well short of Atalanta’s demands.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri face stiff competition from the Premier League.
Indeed, Arsenal and Newcastle United have reportedly joined the San Siro giants in the race to sign Palestra.
And unlike Inter, they would have no problems matching Atalanta’s asking price.
Whoever allowed bellanova & zalewski to go to these on the cheap needs sacking!!
