English tabloid Daily Star has pounced on Inter Director Ausilio’s statement that “Lamela has been taken off the market by Tottenham.”
The tabloid reports that Spurs new manager Mauricio Pocchettino intends to give the Argentinian winger a second chance after his first being a complete failure at White Hart Lane. However, according to the Daily Star, should an important offer arrive, Spurs chairman David Levy will hardly refuse it, or at the very least think very closely before declining it.

ok fine, now get lost you silly spurs fans
The vast majority of football fans irrespective of which team they support have and always will consider football reporters as clowns who make up stories at the drop of a hat. After all, they have to justify their salaries. When a player doesn’t join a club they merely say that the player snubber that club. In relation to Erik Lamela, he was never going to be sold by Spurs this off season having spent so much on him and him barely kicking a ball in anger for various reasons. The Italian press are no different to the clowns in the UK and know full well that the sheep will follow their stories. Every day the clowns continue to link Spurs with every player who makes a bit of a name for himself in this World Cup, so far the clowns have linked Spurs with eleven midfielders, eight forwards and four central defenders at the last count, all of a sudden Spurs are the richest football club on the planet. You have to laugh at these fools.
An important offer for Levy to consider selling would be one where he made a big profit
Pochettino sees Lamela as a key player and unlike the press, who love to use words like “flop” and “failure”, the majority of the fans want to keep Lamela and believe given a chance he will shine.
They see a poor season down to two poor coaches and some injury problems. Lamela will be going nowhere this season, the only chance he will move is if he struggles this coming season
