The paperwork for Gary Medel’s transfer to Inter didn’t arrive in time for the Chilean to make Inter’s Europa League list. According to Gazzetta dello Sport the Nerazzurri’s latest signing will therefore be unable to take part in either of this months qualifying games. Meanwhile after a few weeks of inactivity, the contract situation of Andrea Ranocchia has been resolved. The Italian international has penned a new deal which will see him extend his current contract through to 2018. Only the official announcement is missing according to the Milan based daily newspaper.

I hope Ranocchia Contract extension come with clauses such as :
1. Don’t hold up the play
2. Don’t join an attack unless its set piece
3. Never ever drible

Ranocchia is a good guy but he is so inconsistent and lacks leadership. It would be a real fluke if we replaced him with another captain so quickly after Zanetti left but there is a good chance for that.
Rolando is much better than Ranocchia but he’s our captain now, can’t be benched
