The former Inter player Bruno Bolchi is crazy about Mateo Kovacic and interviewed by Tuttomercatoweb this is what Bolchi has to say:
“I’m surprised by how he takes the ball by his feet but always keeps his head up high. He has shown now that he is a good finisher but he also knows how to assist his teammates with excellent passes. I expected and hoped that he was going to be put in the conditions to show what he can do. I wanted to say that he is young, and that he had to gain experience and that he couldn’t do 90 minutes. Though last season when he got 4-5 consecutive games, he showed his value. Now he has matured and knows about his strengths.”
Is the only thing he needs now continuity?
“With the youngsters you have to be ready to accept they could have games off. But they shouldn’t be subbed for that. If you believe in them, they should be shown support and be put on the field. ”
To finish things of Bolchi is convinced that the goals against Sassuolo and Palermo won’t be the only ones:
“He has a good shot and has characteristics like cool and precision. He could score seven or eight goals a season.”

I really don’t like this goal talks about Kovacic.. hes a playmaker, not a striker.. how many goals verratti has scored in Paris? Zero… nobody says nothing about that, Real Madrid wanted him thius summer, and PSG rejected their offer.. Anyway, Kovavic can score 8 or 18, or 28… who kniws, sky is the limit for a player like this
Where are the haters now??
When Kovacic played back in Croatia he played as a “pirlo”, regista, but with the help of Mazza he is now player like “Hamsik”/trequesta, and he is doing GREAT!! He is turning in to our vision of Iniesta!

Haters of whom? Nobody hates Kovacic. WM? Kovacic is a wonderful talent that you don’t need a genius coach like Wenger or Fergie or Pep to develop him. Even the “green” coach like Strama can do well with him, too bad he’s got not enough time to prove that he can develop Kovacic and both of them are stil too young at the time.
Other thing is, regista are the rarest and hardest position to play everywhere, tell me any good trequartistas and you can mention several players. Tell me good registas and you’ll find hard time mentioning them. Not to mention serie-a it tooks years of experience before Pirlo become a great regista, same things goes for Kovacic. So, Kovacic played in an easier position, had some experience on the league, it’s only natural he’s getting better. What’s your point then? WM develop Kovacic? As long as he’s not putting him as winger, back or goalkeeper Mazzarri will be fine. Just like Messi from Pep to Martino to Enrique, only Pep that i consider as a genius. Kovacic are the same case, no need genius coach.
Not that i’m not thanking him for Kovacic nowadays but i’m just found it not a so wonderful thing yet. I’m waiting and hold myself until we fought big teams, if WM can do well or at least perform a good show even if we lose, i will praise him high. Bad result or and bad performance? Lots of people are still holding their self and curses to give more chance to him.. Got nothing, and it will blow hard the curses is. And remember, players are the body, coach is the brain controlling the body, natural to blame him more than the players. All in all we shall wait and see what will happens.
he’s scored 5 this season already! i don’t exactly expect him to hit 20 goals a season or something like a blue chip striker but he could make 10-15 consistently in future i should imagine 🙂
