Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio spoke with Inter Channel after the heavy defeat against Fiorentina.
“We made a point in the locker room, with the coach and the players, this situation isn’t pleasant, we wanted an awareness during a time that isn’t that easy.”
“There are a few problems, some of the physical, but we will resolve them. We feel a sense of responsibility, we want towork, we will work harder. This isn’t Inter, we will give more. We will come out of this” Ausilio briefly stated.

Perhaps all you simpletons merely overestimated the performance of Ausillio in the recent mercato, as well as the overall strength of our squad.
M’Villa and Osvaldo were the only reasonable acquisitions (when considering value for money as well as quality). Both were acquired for less than market worth. The same could be argued for Vidic although his wages are too high for my liking.
Dodo we overpaid for, but fortunately he is quality.
Medel is not worth 10mil as a player with only one string to his bow and of no effect in possession. A glorified Gargano.
We also raised sadly little funds from our losses. Alvarez should only have been lost for an immediate fee, and we were unable to broker a deal for Guarin.
If Inter fans weren’t so rose-eyed and were able to think for themselves, then perhaps they’d have been able to foresee the average season we are in for, rather than direct praise where it wasn’t deserved.
you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. nothing wrong with the ability of our new players, especially when you take in account what kind of stone age tactics we use. id suggest you join another bandwagon, maybe real or atletico since ours never went anywhere after 2010.
Sorry my friend, I’ve been supporting Inter since I was a child, and although the quality of team might have changed in this time, one thing that has remained steadfast is the bias of the fans and their immature desire to attribute blame to scapegoats rather than concede that perhaps the club has simply been managed poorly on and off the field.
There is indeed something wrong with the new players, namely that they hadn’t addressed the main deficiencies of the squad.
We failed to recruit a genuine target man striker that can assist a young Icardi (who we can’t rely on to score all our goals). We went into a season (that includes Europe) with only 3 attackers. Failure of management, not Mazzari.
Failed to address the lack of quality in central midfield and despite losing Alvarez for nothing, we didn’t introduce a technical midfielder capable of creating goal scoring opportunities. M’Villa is an excellent central/defensive midfielder, but we also needed a genuine playmaker with vision and a wide passing range. Instead we forked out a large sum on a player that offers nothing offensively.
Nor did we address the inadequacies of our wings, which under Mazzari, have become our preferred avenue to goal. Again, fault of management and Ausilio, not Mazzari.
We also failed to generate any funds through sales, or offload the bulk of our deadweight.
Mazzari’s tactics may be conservative, and he may lack the tactical flexibility that has become the norm in top-level coaching, but with a more complete, well-rounded and balanced squad, he could make more of an impact. After all, he has punched above his weight in his previous coaching efforts.
But I’ll leave you to your one-word solutions. I wouldn’t want you to think too hard.
I disagree with you and this is why…..Before Euro 2000 Dino Zoff said “i am going to choose the best talent in Italy and then I am going to pick a strategy that is best suited for them” that is the mentality of an experienced coach. Mazzarri’s mentality is “even though this team is not designed for 3-5-2 we are going to play it anyways” If Mazzarri was more “technically competent” he would change the formation to suit his players and not change his players to suit his formation. That is Mazzarri’s fault and not the fault of management. A good chef will make a gourmet meal out of whatever ingredients you give him but if that chef only knows to make 1 meal and doesn’t have the ingredients to make it then you’re going to eat crap. Once again, that is all on Mazzarri. After 15 years of coaching I would expect him to be more knowledgeable on soccer strategy
A big disappointment seeing a coach’s football philosophy destroy a team which possess such big potential. How many chances should a coach get?
2012-2013 we came in 9th place. 2013-2014 we came in 5th place. But, are we fans really satisfied with this result? The whole club should aim higher and not this inconsistent results. We want a team that the fans are proud of.
Since we are now under FFP’s radar I think it makes the situation a lot worse by sacking Walter Mazzarri.
Erick Thohir – what team do you want to be president of? In my opinion, nothing have changed since you took over, except making Zanetti VP. Make some better transfers, hire a fucking better coach that possesses aims and goals higher than WM.
A club which I’ve followed since I was a child is losing its dignity. When we had Zanetti in the team, at least we played with heart. Now there are players that are in the starting 11, that doesn’t deserves to play.
How far will this inconsistency go on?
Everytime i watch inter play i see a few things: Strikers get frustrated at the lack of service from Midfield. That means they have to rely on wingers for service. That means you have to rely on guys like Nagatomo and Jonathan to CROSS the bar to the striker and how accurate do you think their crosses are ? Then you have to pray that if you get the first touch that there is sufficient time and space to control the ball and enough space to decide whether to pass or shoot….this is Serie A how much time and space do you actually think a striker gets ? the midfielders are no spring chickens either….they know that if they run forward they will have to run back and when you’re playing 3 times in 1 week because Mazzarri does not know how to rotate his team you will be screwed. They also know that with 3 subs 2 of them are dedicated to the wingers and that leaves 1 sub for the rest of the team so if you are tired before the final whistle odds are you are screwed. I don’t blame the midfielders either – Mazarri teaches them to pass to the wings and you think the opposition is stupid? they raise the defensive line so the strikers dont get in the box and BOOM play is diverted into the opposite direction because inter’s wingers can’t cross. I also see no motivation and no character on the field. I see a team that is giving up on the coach. He is not getting the best out of Hernanes, Guarin, kovacic, Vidic, Palacio and if you can’t motivate your best players you will have a mutiny on your hands. I see no love on the team and that I blame on the president because if you Run your company like a business and fire the guys within the company that know the players aka Cordoba then the players and coach will show up to work for their paycheck and do the minimum required to earn it. That is all on Thohir.
First of all, we need to get rid of Mazzari and find somebody who knows how to coach. Still is beginning of the season and we have time to correct this, but immediate measures must be taken. The more Tohir waits, the more Mazzari’ll ruin the team.
Well, i was thinking that 3-4-1-2 is a good formation but clearly it does not work at inter! make it 4-3-1-2, Batmanovic
Yuto(Jonathan)-Ranocchia(Vidic)-JJ-Dodo
Guarin-Medel-Hernanes
Kovacic
Icardi-Palacio(Osvaldo)
i think that osvaldo can be great, he is a different player that he has potential even in his old age
WE NEED 1-2 big names… Thats for sure, secondly we need to stop this shitty 3-5-2 because we dont have the right players for it! There is structure or balance in the team.. And thirdly most importantly, Inter needs to be considered more than just business mr Tohir, you need to put your heart and money where your mouth is! So stop bullshitting about how to make money and business models coz thats your problem to deal with, our problem is to invest and build a proper team u idiot!
When we’ll resolve, next season?! C’moooon, bullsh…t. if we continue with WM we gonna fail in all our objectives 🙁
When you play with Chaos organization on the field like that, no wander players get exhausted. everyone running and passing all directions (when they get stuck, passed to the wings all d time) no wonder the opponent mange to counter it well.
No need expert to analyse WM’s work, we such common fans easily saw This Inter has identity for its ancient 3-5-2 and WINGs
I always remember since day one Mourinho’s time at inter. no matter the result, but there was a tidy organization on the field and unpredictability.
We need to wait how long WM will hold on, for being fired for the first time along his bright carrier…
His mark at inter is only his BOOK as fit with the tittle he made…
Very inconsistent performances from this INTER team whose fans are very disappointed like me…
🙁
For such games, before the season started, fans where given false hopes and the team does not look serious in the Serie A and Europa League also the look very tired…. looks like they lack focus and fitness and the desire to be among the top Italian teams is not there. It really HURTS to see INTER in such form…
Lastly I would say seeing teams performances … GET WELL SOON team INTER
