At the post match press conference, Roberto Mancini analyzed the match at the Olimpico.
”Roma played well, but we also allowed them to play their game. We shouldn’t have done so. But we also had character even though we made some errors which allowed them to score.”
Has there been improvements?
”I think there is a bit of confusion in the team because we are trying to make things happen very fast”
Does your ambition match the current level Inter find themselves in?
”There is a lot to be done and quickly. It is not easy to change everything in ten days. The players bring great desire but in order to change a system, you have to adapt to different positions. Some players are playing out of their position. It is normal to go through periods of disappointments during a transition phase but in the end, victories will come when things improve.”
FCInternews.it – Why did M’Vila start over Kovacic?
”Kovacic continues to have a problem with his toe and has not been in top shape after the derby.”
FcInternews.it – Hernanes, Jonathan, Vidic, and Nagatomo were all out tonight. Of these players, who can recover for next week?
”We hope to have Nagatomo and maybe someone else. Hernanes is not in his best shape.”
Did the game go the way you had imagined?
”Against Roma, we knew there would be difficulties. I was hoping we were in our top game but they were dangerous also because of our mistakes.”
Was it a defeat that complicates the chances of reaching the third place?
”The third place is still attainable – the league is long. But you have to get points. There are two routes that can lead us to the Champions League and we hope to take at least one.”

I hope we play 4-3-3 next match
Lol its 2 games.. Its a good system we just have shit defenders
What you could critise Mancio for is to play a system he like over playing the system that suit the players he has the best! Instead of playing a system where his players can play there best he chooses to play them out of position in order to play his own favorite system!
A great coach knows how to win with his favorite system while a world class coach knows how to play the players so they can exprese them selfs in the best way no matter the system!
I still belive in Mancio of cause and I’m sure his playing this way because he wants the team (the players not playing out of pos.) to learn his way of playing – quickly!
hahah it will be the best if you dont believe in mancio
I am not sure where you are going with your comment. “playing the system that suit the players he has the best!” Tell me what system best fit the current inter squad. I think none. There is not perfect solution, the team has not identity, a lot of players are out injured others are just crap. The guy is rebuilding the team for the long term and I think that is what should be done. The worst thing us fans can do is start criticizing the coach and his choices.
just a couple of idiots can criticize mancioo
I really think we could play 4-3-1-2 with the current scuad or maby a more classic 4-4-2 with Dodo as a left midfielder and Gaurin/ Naga as a right midfielder. And why not play JJ as an “Chivu” to close behind Dodo on the left and Andreoli in the midle until Vidic gets well? Medel can also play as centerback and Mvila as the def. midfielder – many options my friends!
I’m not criticizing Mancio – he has done great since he came back in, but just some thoughts 🙂
Well if I struggle to make an Inter lineup with 100% chemistry on FIFA I think that sums up the problem in a nutshell—there is no perfect system for our current team! We have 3 lbs/lwbs and no real solid rb. I’m not really sure where Guarin’s best position is and I’m becoming less sure of Kuz now as he’s moved a little further forward. Kovacic seems to be hugely versatile as does Palacio, which means the system is flexible up top. Hernanes can play multiple positions too.. I really don’t know where many of them play best though-no11/no10, no6/no8, no9/no7, no4/no5. The list goes on. The only player I can safely say has a fixed position is Handanovic :p
