In an interview with the “Corierre dello Sport”, Inter general manager Marco Fassone addressed some questions related to the January mercato. Due to the arrival of Roberto Mancini and the change of formation many have speculated that Inter will be active in this market; however, the Inter leadership have not given much detail concerning specific targets.
Among names advanced in recent weeks has been that of Alessio Cerci, who is currently out of favour at new club Atletico Madrid. In a brief but clear response to a question regarding Inter’s interest in the player, Fassone said: “Yes, he is the right man for us”.

Wow if that is a true statement then it is quite a response from a top official when questioned about a player. You would have to imagine that they are in advanced talks with the player and his club for him to give such an honest answer. Surely he wouldnt get the fans hopes up so much if something wasnt happening!
