The FIGC has released official figures of the average attendance in Italian stadiums after 16 rounds of the 2014/15 season. The average spectators in Serie A for this season is 22, 051 – a decrease of 6.1% compared to last season and the worst in the last five years (a decrease of almost 12% compared to the 2010/11 season). Milan’s home game attracts the most fans (45, 978) followed by Roma (40, 467), and Juventus (38,475). While these three clubs have seen an increase, Inter’s average attendance has alarmingly dropped by a massive 27.5% compared to last season. Napoli find themselves in a similar spot as their attendance has also decreased by 29.3%.

Credit crunch
With the way the team was playing under Mazzari this is not surprising
Something that is alarming is that Roma have got there stadium plans approved and Milan too – which means that in a couple of years we’ll have not only one club (Juve) way ahead of us but 3!! And I think more clubs are working on building there own stadiums as well (Palermo, right??).
So Thohir; please get on with it ASAP!!
Time to do like in Germany; lower the prices in order to fill the stadiums! Plus of cause modernise the same stadiums so that people actuelly want to come!
not right to blame milanese fans but c’mon guys move your ass to stadium
Thanks Mazzari!
WM
that’s not good
notthing strange
And some people are still questioning why E.T. sacked Mazzarri…
Can’t really blame the spectators. It is painful to watch Inter these days even from TV. But I think the numbers will get better under Mancini’s attacking style of play.
27.5% is way too much. If I was living in Milan I’d be attending every game regardless of how team plays. This is embarrassing!
