Former Inter player and legend Walter Zenga was offered the role as coach for Cagliari but declined the offer to stay in Dubai. The coach writes on Twitter:
“I wish to thank the Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini and all of Cagliari Calcio for considering me as their coach. Though I’m sad to say I have to decline the offer I have received. In this moment because of personal and professional reasons I have the intention to stay in Dubai to contribute to the footballing movement in this part of the world. I’m very satisfied and honored over the fact that a team with Cagliari’s tradition and ambitions contacted me.”

This is exactly why Zenga will never get an offer from Inter despite expressing his dream to coach the Nerazzurri on many occasions. Simply put, he does not have much experience in Italy’s top flight, and if he continues to coach in the middle east, his credentials will never be deemed worthy enough to take the reins of Inter.
Agree with you. I think he needs to take a chance in Italy. However, I am nor sure anyone in his right mind would want to take Cagliari right now. Tthat would be sucide for any decent coach
