Reporter Carlo Laudisa took to “Twitter” to talk about the contents of tomorrow’s “Gazetta dello Sport”. The reporter indicated that the paper examines the possible move of Bayern’s Shaqiri to Inter. The paper goes into detail saying that Inter has opened up discussions with the brother-agent of Shaqiri about a possible move. However, Bayern is said to currently be at a more advanced stage in their discussions with Liverpool.

If we failed with Shaqiri our second option must be Konoplyanka, not old and expensive Lavezzi or Salah, who will come only on loan. I don’t understand why rumors about Konoplyanka stops, when he’s contact expires after only six months and he’ll not be expensive for us?
Rumor has it that he asks too much in terms of wage. How much is too much? Well your guess is as good as mine.
I read that INTER offered a 4 year deal with a salary of 3m/year to Konoplyanka! That is pretty decent if you ask me, right now he’s earning 1m/season.
I am crazy optimistic and hope that we sign BOTH Shaqiri now AND Konoplyanka for FREE in the summer! 😀

We’re broke. I really wonder what can we offer this guy to make him come to Inter. He’s one of the best young players out there. Signing him will boost our power immensely, but I think at this point we can only dream.
I see us having a slight advantage over Liverpool for the simple reason that neither club plays in the CL right now and Shaqiri would face a lot more competition for a starting spot at Liverpool than at Inter. Markovic, Sterling, Lallana, Coutinho etc. all players that could start ahead of Shaqiri, and I think he’s tired of sitting on the bench.
Besides, perhaps Inter have a bigger chance at playing in the CL next season should Shaqiri arrive in addition to Podolski and perhaps Diarra, the competition is lesser compared to what it is in England (Arsenal, United, Tottenham, Southampton all very strong, and the acquisition of Shaqiri doesn’t give Liverpool a boost as big as it is the case with Inter).
That is unless Shaqiri has a personal preference for England/Liverpool, or is offered much more money.
As for Bayern, we’ve got Rumenigge in there, and Ausilio should really use that. I hope we’re not losing time thinking on whether to go after Shaqiri or Lavezzi.
This move would be great but if Liverpool is interested then we can pack our bags. They have the cash and are in more advanced position so maybe we should concentrate on Salah or maybe someone else like Thauvin.
I think that if it isn’t Shaqiri it will definitely be Lavezzi as the next target. Can’t see Thauvin leaving Marseille right now as he’s really endeared himself to Bielsa and is key in the title bid.
As for Salah, I think he’s an option, but would only come into consideration if we fail for both Lavezzi and Shaqiri.
Finally, I’ve stated my opinion in another comment here regarding why I think Liverpool don’t necessarily have as big an edge as we might think. 🙂
You might be right but I really hope that Lavezzi is our last option. I mean he is a great player and everything but I’m not sure if he would commit as much as someone younger with a point to prove. Not to mention that he is a very pace oriented player and his age isn’t really helping him there either.
Hey guys am back after a long time out! How is everyone doing??
If Mancio wants a winger then lets get this guy. No point signing a manager and not giving him the most essential tool he needs to succeed !
