meh .. medel is good at getting the ball from the danger zone but he can not pass the ball in the attack zone , we need a volante who can defend and transfer the ball forward not to the cb’s , that’s the only thing that separates medel from suarez , leiva and allan

Medel makes no long passes at all. he is just passing the ball around in the midfield but throughballs to icardi are really rare
His job isn’t to pass to icardi. His job is to destroy…he is much better than Suarez at that…also his job is to get it to hernanes or kovacic to get it to icardi…
than why is mancini is trying to get suarez and leiva ? i don’t think mancini wants a pure destroyer like medel …

leiva is the same as medel 90% passes complete 90% to the first man
passes accuracy is irrelevant since most of medels passes are to the back

Am curious what match you watch…do you even know which player we are talking about…it MEDEL an inter player…do you even know his role? Let me school you abit. When he plays, his a cb,dm,cm….when the two wingbacks go forward do you know medel goes center making us have an auto 3 man defence? You dont know this….with that he has the longest pass accuracy in the team…never gets subs mid match..guess you dont know why also…even a stupid coach would never downplay Medels role. Mancini said in his earliar days in Inter that he pities Medel that he needs another midfielder to ease Medel job. His calls that nickname for a fucking reason man. Yo show some respect.
Agreed. Medel’s job is crucial for this team. He steals the ball back really well and covers positions like no other. Very important with Cuchu gone. We have Hernanes, Kova, PoldI, Shaquiri and even Guarin to make the incisive passing.
lol , if he is that good why is inter looking for another dm . medels qualities is pretty limited , having watched yesterdays game i can say that suarez is awesome and if he comes i think mancini wouldn’t hesitate to bench medel . it would be a great deal 🙂
For all we know we are looking for a back up for Medel. I honestly think Medel is one of the most consistent players we have…he does his job well…yes he needs help but if Guarin continues to play well…meh…if anything get Suarez as a sub for Guarin or play instead of Guarin…
i wouldn’t say that , for such a tough financial situation do you think inter would waste 10-15m for a “back up” player , having seen suarez play yesterday vs real i can say that this guy is alot better than medel ….he reads the game pretty well and helps in attack , if suarez comes i think mancini would bench medel in a heartbeat . the best choice would be allan 🙂
as a midfielder he should be able to create some forward play. if he would play as a center back it would be okay.

seeing his match vs genoa .. he was really deep and sometimes between the 2 cb’s most of his passes were to the back , he’s a pure destroyer and he doesn’t have good technique and passing ability and he slows everything down hence why mancini wants another midfielder
Remember that since our defence is so bad it is beneficial to have medel concerned only with defending.

Kovacic does perform exceptionally well when subbed in against tired and slow defenders. I reckon Shaq will too, but I really prefer seeing them together from the start.

We need back up! We have only Guaro and Medel right now because M’Vila and Kuzmanovic seems to leave pretty soon!
yeh, if it’s certain they’re leaving then we do need back up. but if they’re staying then they’re decent enough benchwarmers
Suarez would only push medel to the bench or else make our midfield more defensive than dynamic. i don’t believe lucas is better than suarez necessarily
I think Inter want to get one of Suarez or Lucas before they let go of M’Vila or Kuzmanovic! Like a safty line if the plan go to hell!
