Corriere dello Sport reports that Mauro Icardi will leave Inter if the club do not qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Champions League regulars Atletico de Madrid and Chelsea want the Argentine. Icardi’s replacement would be Andre Pierre Gignac. The Frenchman has scored 13 goals so far in Ligue 1 for Marseille this season. Gignac will leave OM at the end of the season when his contract expires.

I find it difficult to see how it’s possible for Icardi to leave Italy…
Isn’t Maxi Lopez still living in Italy and have visitation rights with his kids? Will Wanda be allowed to leave the country with his kids? I don’t know but I think Inter is holding out because really Icardi may not have much of a choice but to stay.
i dont see inter will sell icardi easily, in other words inter will not sell icardi unless icardi want to move out, which is very unlikely coz he just got a baby, its hard to move to other place..hehe..so this what will happend.. inter will give what icardi demands and icardi will be rewarded with new contract.. icardi value will rise.. and incAse we cant secure 3rd spot.. inter will not sell icardi kova or juan.. bcoz thohir project for new inter is Young squad.. so dont worry with media speculations of inter letting icardi go this coming summer.. but i think handanovic may leave if he doesnt extend his contract so inter can get more cash better than giving handa away for free 🙂

even though its a big possibility that he might leave, this sounds like a tactic to raise the players/agents bargaining power for the new contract. its always something to threaten to make the other party comply. with that said, i really hope he will stay for years to come and be a champion with inter. he has a great future!
It will be happened if icardi would like to have a rest as a bench warmer in Chelsea (there is Diego Costa) or in Athleti (there is Mandzukic)……
It’s unfortunate if we lose him now. I mean we still seek consistency and stability in our squad and Icardi definetly our best striker (if you looking for pure post Player plus under 25 old this lad is the best). I hope we can find good agreement in his renewal maybe 2 million/season. And at the same time I hope we can put a more faith in Bonazzoli and Puscas (they are Interisti at least).

For all we know, there probably is some interest, but it’s too early to speak seriously because we’re not the only ones. At least for Schar, I’m quite sure we’ll make contact. I’d also go for Ayew, but I doubt we can get him because we’ve already got Poldi and Shaqiri as starters (unless we’re not buying Poldi).

its hard to secure precontract if u hv alot of competitions and as u guys see inter lately move fast and silent in transfer market to avoid media attentions which can increase player value and getting more intentions from other club like ac milan and juve who always lurking our target player..so be patient 🙂

We never know. As u can see from the financial point of view.. We desperately need money. If we dont qualify to UCL it means we will lose 60mil euros which means we need to sell one of (icardi,kovacic, handanovic) in order to avoid FFP sanction
We never know that’s right, but Thohir has many times stated that Kova AND Icardi are the players on which Inter wants to build it’s future! So selling him would be a rather bad signal to send right?
Plus we have players who we could sell instead; Guarin is playing reguarly and doing fine, Kuz the same, Hernanes is never gonna be a winger and Mancio clearly doesn’t see him as a deeper “regista” either, so he could be sold, and so could Ranocchia.
But of cause if Icardi keeps rejecting a new contract (or if Handa does the same) they could be sold this summer! -You never know!

How about Alexandre Lacazette instead of Gignac for Icardi replacement? 20 goals so far in Ligue 1 and a very versatile young centre forward who can also play both wings.
