The front pages of the Italian papers have begun to stream out and they took some space to consider Inter’s mercato. Both the “Gazetta Sportiva” and the “Gazetta dello Sport” have expressed that Inter and Milan must get results in their upcoming matches. Milan will face off against Parma and Inter against Sassuolo.
Moreover, “Tuttosport” has expressed that not everyone at Inter is convinced of the Cassano singing but time will tell if this deal is made final.

We all know the assists Cassano can make. You don’t need speed for these, you need vision. An he has it in excess, hands down he’s one of the best passers around. We shouldn’t have given him away in the first place, I’m all for bringing him back.
To all those of you criticizing his age and fitness – Cassano is not a long term solution. And you can say whatever you want, but Cassano is about 20 classes above our youngsters right now (I mean Bonazzoli and Puscas). We need fucking points, Cassano can bring them to us. It’s only 6 months anyway, then we can reevaluate.
I’m agree with you for Cassano, after Osvaldo impossible way back. He can be useful for us, but only to the end of the season. But there’s something else, Mancini start to play as a english manager,f orgotten that he’s just a coach and we can’t buy every transfer window 7-8 new players, most of them mediocres, sacrificing for that our talented youngsters. It’s time to focus on the long term project, looking for only a few but quality players and develop our youngsters.
I think what Mancio is doing right now is simply getting the profile of players that he needs, it won’t be like this every single transfer window. It’s just that this is a team that wasn’t built according to his vision and it’s natural that he wants to buy (not to mention the fact that the team needs investment anyway, solely to make a leap in quality).
We’re still not a team that can afford to base itself on youngsters, the pressure on them would be too high and most of them would flop. We’ve seen it before. We first need to establish a stable first team of high quality, and then gradually implement the best among the youngsters.
Besides, despite the fact that we’re being linked with 1293812093812093810 players this winter, I think there’s only a chance that we’ll get Cassano, no one else until the end of the window.
The team have to be build around club’s vision, not around some coach vision. What we will gonna do with Mancini’s choices if we’re forced to get rid of him, if he continues to lose game after game? Same as Mazzari’s choices wondering how to get rid of them, when the new coach doesn’t want hem?
As far as the English coach remark goes, don’t forget that Thohir is a rather big fan of the way things work in England, so he might be all for this way of doing things in that aspect as well.
Also, the club apparently hasn’t got the capacity to create this kind of a vision, and Mancini is VERY good at building teams. I’d trust him to pick the right players and set the foundations, so that the club can start working on its autonomy in that sense for the future.
Basically, I’m hoping Mancini is a completely new page to Mazzarri, because his reputation puts him a couple of classes above. Mancini can get us players we couldn’t even dream of under Mazzarri.
I guess we have completely different opinions about Mancini. I don’t think at all that he’s very good at building teams and don’t see that with us under Moratti, in Manchester City and in Galatasaray. In all places he only use financial power of the clubs and working with big players. Buy the way, he was fired from all those three teams. Whatever all i wanna say is that we have different structure, sporting director, whole management staff and this is much better, than leaving some coach to create the vision and long term project. And after he’s gone and come new one with completely different vision and approach, what we have to do, starting again from a scratch? I think that you exaggerating Mancini’s abilities, yes maybe he helps a little, but main thing that attracts players is Inter name, tradition, popularity, fans, etc.
Osvaldo is gone and there is one slot available for a new attacker in inter, so why not? He is an Interista, showed great forms before forced to leave Inter in a stupid exchange deal with Belfodil that made by infamous Branca. We really need Cassano to boost our chance at Europa League, since CL spot is highly doubtful with current 10-points gap. I’m sure he would give all his best for Inter, if Mancio decided to call him back.
Moreover, we do not have any options left especially when the remaining winter’s transfer budget will be used to bring a new defender and it is near transfer deadline. In the end, this article was made by Tuttoshit, why so serious then? We will see this Monday whether we will see again Inter number 99 or not. Forza Inter!
he may be fun to watch. but the stake are much higher. fantantonio or not, he cannot be inter long term solution up front. and about the slot, tell me why in the world Inter sell bonazolli in the first place?! youth is the future.
I did not say that Cassano is a long term solution or a fun to watch. I said that we have to get into Champions League next year with all costs. If we failed reached CL, we would lose stars like Handa, Icardi and maybe Kovacic for sure. That’s why Inter planned to offer Cassano a short term contract for just 6 months, with an option to extend for the another year. Ausilio is not as stupid as Branca, so relax. Cassano’s vast experiences will be really needed in a competition like Europa League. Did you know that the winner of Europa League will be eligible for the next Champions league? Moreover, we’ll spend nothing to bring him back to Inter. Could you please tell me another alternative if you have one?
Why did Inter sell Bonazzolli? The answer is because we need fresh money to support Ausilio in the market. Why Bonazzolli? He and Duncan were our only players with a serious suitor. That’s why, Ausilio had to sell them fast to gather some funds for a new defender and a new attacker. That’s what Mancio asked for. No one wants to buy our ‘great’ players like Guarin, Rano or Kuz this winter. Face it, most of our players are unmarketable and really hard to sell them. We are stucked with them.
still not realistic. he would be given 1-2 matches sure. but fantantonio is not the kind of player to just sit back on the bench. the man wants limelight. inter got rid of osvaldo, now they wants to replace him with cassano.. it never ends..
Why all the hate? He’s the cheapest and best option to replace osvaldo
Can believe on how many people excited bout him. He’s the player who caused problem on almost every single team he play. He had a fight with the coach when he’s with us. Now a 20th position team in serie-a just fired him.
20th Parma has just Fired Cassano and we excited about this guy ?
Its like replacing osvaldo with another osvaldo…
Cassano is nothing like Osvaldo, Cassano is the Assist king were Osvaldo is a selfish bastard that only plays for his own good. With the contract that he will receive Inter is thinking about the future and rather spend money in the summer and take Cassano as a backup and for EL.
I really like Cassano. From technical standpoint, I would take him any day. But if we are pushing for 3rd place or even 5th, we cant have volatile personality in the dressing room.
tuttosport..
