A dramatic draw that leaves every possibility open for the return game, where Inter and Celtic FC will decide who passes to the round of 16 in the Europa League. After a 3-3 result against Roberto Mancini’s men, the Norwegian manager can still be satisfied with his players after reaching a somewhat inspired draw. After the final whistle Ronny Deila analyzed the game played at Celtic Park, his comments captured by FcInterNews.
Have you ever been part of a game like this before?
“No, it was an incredible game with an incredible atmosphere. My players were very brave to keep fighting when being down 0-2, I am happy even though we wanted to come to Milan with a win”.
How confident are you ahead of the return game?
“We will need luck, but nothing is impossible”.
Are you happy with Guidetti?
“He does very well in training, when a player works this well the results will always come”.
How do you rate the new signings?
“They are doing well, both players have done all they could seeing as they just came here. They will do even better”.
What do you think of your keeper Gordon’s performance?
“I have nothing to say, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. The support from his team mates and the fans were very important for Gordon today”.
Is qualification to the next round still possible?
“I know that we can score in Italy, but we will also need to keep a clean sheet”.
FcIN – After this draw, what is your opinion of the Inter team?
“Inter is a great team, in the beginning of a new cycle. They attacked with a lot of courage and their defenders contributed in attack as well”.

Really we have to admit to ourselves the glory days and fear teams had for a San Siro atmosphere is fast disappearing …
It will be interesting to see if we still only pull our average attendance of around 44,000 for this game. I hope for nothing less than 65,000… But I think I’m fooling myself. Won’t be surprised to hear Celtic fans drown us out.
We need a new stadium badly. Either that or reduce the capacity of San Siro, it looks like a ghost town every weekend. If we can do that then I’m sure our fans will be way louder as well.
Watch this space, 4- 1 for Inter
mission impossible5 my friend
I think we will see a much more balanced inter next time
Really would like to have a look Curva Nord “performance” on the next home game against Celtic….. Forza Internazionale……
Inter will go to the next round!
Inter will go to the next round!
Poor start from Celtic but brave to fight back. If can get first goal in San Siro then they have a chance but probably need 2 goals which is also possible. Amazing atmosphere.

Stop deceiving yourself with Celtic scoring first and getting a second goal at the Meazza – because it won’t happen. The shambolic defending of Ranocchia & Campagnaro gave you some hope in the first leg, but neither player will be on duty in the second leg so I don’t know where your goals will come from.
The second round will be played on meazza, having said the coach have a lot confidence, this will becom a burden to the celtic players. I wish…
I really looking forward to the next game, San Siro is the exact payback for the Celtic Park. Big hope for Curva Nord to show them what we really are!
