Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka has been on Inter’s wishlist for some time and there was concrete interest from the Nerazzurri last summer. Unfortunately, it does not seem that Inter will get their hands on Xhaka any time soon as Bild reports that Atletico de Madrid are highly interested in the Gladbach player. Simeone sees Xhaka as a quality player that can improve the already talented Atleti midfield.

Along with Casemiro and Sahin, would have been ideal as a deep-lying midfielder capable of setting up play as well as providing a defensive edge. All were available for around 10mil as well. Poor recruiting like usual.
