The summer transfer window is still some ways away, but Inter already have plans for this summer’s transfer window. The Nerazzurri are interested in numerous players from the attack all the way to the goalkeeping position. After Inter’s disappointing 1-1 draw against Parma, Roberto Mancini said that there would be a revolution at the club. Mancini wants to build a team that can challenge for the Scudetto next season. La Gazzetta Dello Sport has an entire section about Inter’s transfer targets. Much of Inter’s transfer dealings will depend on how the season will end and the offers the club will receive for current players in the squad. The paper reports that if Inter do not qualify for Europe, then they will not get sanctions from Uefa, who have implemented Financial Fair Play for clubs across Europe. Here are the types of players that Mancini wants and needs to bring Inter back to the top:
Top Player: The coach knows that buying a top player will be very difficult, so signing 3-4 hungry and determined players seems more likely. Mancini is hoping to give some of the youngsters, such as Camara, Dimarco, Baldini, Gyamfi, Yao and Zé Turbo, a chance in the first team. Most of them will probably be loaned out to gain experience first. Then, the Nerazzurri will gamble on a young prospect. One of the hottest names on the market that has attracted interest from Inter is Nabil Fekir of Lyon. River Plate striker Sebastian Driussi is also on Inter’s watchlist. Ondrej Duda of Legia Warsaw is another possibility. The last young player that Mancini wants is 22 year old left-back Monaco, Layvin Kurzawa.
Attackers: Roberto Mancini’s dream striker-partnership is Icardi-Dybala. It will be very difficult to ward off competition for the Palermo star. Paris St. Germain, Juventus, and Arsenal are all interest in the Argentine. To complete the attack, Mancini wants Pedro of Barcelona. The Spanish international’s contract expires in 2016, and he is likely to leave Barcelona at the end of the season. Andre Ayew is a backup to Pedro. The Ghanaian will leave Marseille at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Midfielders: For the midfield, Mancini wants experienced players. Yaya Toure is the dream, and to sign the 32 year old Ivorian, Inter will have to increase the player’s 11 million euros per year wages. Toure is yet to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, but signing the midfielder will be very difficult for Inter to do. Allan is probably the most likely player to join the Nerazzurri because Toulalan recently renewed his contract with Monaco.
Defenders: The biggest changes are to made in the defensive department. If Handanovic leaves Inter, then Petr Cech and Sergio Romero are potential replacements. Mattia Perin and Marco Sportiello are other alternatives for the goalkeeping position. There will be a massive exodus of Inter defenders this summer: Jonathan, Campagnaro, Vidic, Nagatomo and Dodo are all on their way out. Juan Jesus’s future is in the balance. The players who are likely to arrive are Vida and Dragovic of Dynamo Kiev, Heutaux of Udinese and Chinese defender Zhang. The dream defenders for the Nerazzurri are Darmian, Kurzawa, Felipe Luis, and Clichy.
The Exodus: There is no secret, many Inter players will leave this summer. The team has underperformed this season, and this is mostly to do with the lack of quality players in the squad. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Podolski, Vidic, Campagnaro, Handanovic, and Jonathan will leave Inter in the summer. Ricky Alvarez’s departure will depend if Sunderland stay up or not. If the Blackcats get relegated, then Alvarez will return to Inter. Kuzmanovic, Obi and Hernanes are seen as “dead weight” in the squad, and the club will try to sell them in the summer transfer window. Roberto Mancini seems required to sacrifice either Mauro Icardi or Mateo Kovacic. One thing is certain. It will be a busy summer for Inter.

Let me correct that.
One thing is certain. It’s always a busy summer for Inter.
Not qualifying for Europe could be a blessing in disguise for us if we can afford to spend BIG money this summer and actually build a squad that will more or less be sure of qualifying for the Champions League. This should be VERY realistic if we spend big and get the right players (which I believe won’t be a problem with Mancini’s scouting abilities) because Roma seem to be losing steam with Garcia and Napoli are practically falling apart. Lazio have never been known for continuous growth and Milan are way back unless they make a sale to some billionaire.
I don’t think we really need Dybala and I don’t think we can get him anyway. If he wants to stay in Italy, he’s got Juventus (currently favorites for his signature), a better team who can probably pay him more and offer him the same playing time and a bigger chance of success. If he wants to go elsewhere, we can’t even imagine to compete with Premier League clubs if they can offer him playing time (someone certainly can).
I think Pedro will be fantastic if we can get him, then Mancini can form a trident with him and Icardi which will be one of the best strikeforces in the league. I don’t know Mancini’s tactical plans, but I think it makes sense.
Increase Yaya’s wage?! Is there ANYONE left sane this world???
Allan is good, I’d settle for him if Yaya doesn’t take a cut.
I want Cech as a goalkeeper – he’s real world class, one of the top 5 in the world and I’m sure Mou will put in a good word for us.
As for defenders, I’d give JJ another chance, more so than it is the case with Ranocchia (but I don’t see us selling Ranocchia, so we’ll have to settle for more shit next season). The fact that his partner will be another player who never played in Serie A is worrying. Assuming that we sign Cech, who doesn’t speak Italian, having another player who doesn’t know the language paired with an idiot like Ranocchia is sounding the red alert. I’d be happy with Darmian and Murillo, though, and Dragovic if possible, but I think it isn’t.
The exodus will be the most difficult feat to achieve this summer and it’s what conditions our capacity in the market. If we can get rid of 7-8 players, we’ll have the capacity to do well. I’m not sure why Guarin is not even mentioned as a potential sale.
I certainly hope to keep both Icardi and Kovacic and literally build around them and Shaqiri as our future.
Guarin is Mancini’s favorite
Hopefully only until the season ends. We need to cash in on Guarin and sign a proper midfielder – either Yaya or Allan/Soriano/Obiang …
We don’t have to rush and set impossible targets like fighting for Squdetto or Champions League spot at any cost next season. Because there’s big chance to fail miserably again and to ruin another season. We must to develop and taking step by step, Europa League spot it’ll be reasonable target. In my opinion we have to build around Juan Jesus, Santon, Brozovic, Kovacic, Shaqiri and Icardi. Andreolli, D’Ambrosio, Medel, Hernanes and Palacio if he reduce his salary, could stay as a good backups and we can get rid of all other players. In my opinion in next mercato we have to focus on young talents like Kondogbia, Fekir, Kurzawa, etc. with few quality players like Konoplyanka, Schar, Salah, Firmino, Allan, Dybala, etc.
Mate, I can’t say it’s realistic to think that Kondogbia will be any cheaper than the likes of Pedro.
Salah is gone, Firmino is unreachable, so is Dybala in my opinion.
Also, I don’t think D’Ambrosio is someone we can actually build on – I think he just has to stick around until we can afford better. He really hasn’t shown any impressive qualities to be considered any sort of foundation. I agree that we should perhaps give JJ another chance despite the fact that this season has been very poor for him (but I still rate him higher than Ranocchia at any given moment).
Finally, I think we should go with heavy investment IF this is possible at all and build a great squad as soon as possible, because gradual building doesn’t seem to be working for us; in a hypothetical scenario, if we have another season like this next year (for which the possibility is greater if we don’t spend heavily and get good players) – we’ll even start losing the good players we already have (like Icardi, Kovacic and perhaps even Shaqiri).
I’d be super happy if Mancini can convince the management to spend big and risk all or nothing – not setting the target on a Scudetto (because that will take time) – but certainly on CL qualification (since Roma seem to have lost steam, Napoli will be changing a lot etc. so the only real power in Italy will remain Juventus).
If we get vida, allan, darmian and dragovic I can die happy
Dragovic . Darmian . Fekir and pedro would be great
I don’t think it will go that great. Remember, we have tried to get rid of Kuzmanovič and such for like a few transfer windows, I doubt that everybody will buy them after a bad season. And also, there is no way we will give Toure such a huge salary. That fact alone would cause unrest in the locker room. If he wouldn’t perform and the other players knew he is making like 4 times the second highest earner wage’s, it wouldn’t be good for team spirit.
i doubt it will be realized, because i believe a great team arent built in just 1 season…
This article gave me goosebumps lol.
Hopefully everything that is written will be fulfilled!
In mancini we trust and forza inter!!!
Allan would be brilliant, I’d rather have him than Yaya who is great but old and extremely expensive.
we are lacking experienced players . for me
out: kovacic ,medel ,guarin ,hernanes ,obi ,vidic ,campa ,andreoli ,nagatomo , johnathan .
in:allan ,Zhang,Heutaux , darmian , leiva “he wants to get out” .
selling medel and guarin and hernanes will get us at least 25m plus alvares’ 12m, 5m for mbaye = 42m with some others getting sold will hopefully get us to 50m , maybe then we don’t need to sell kovacic
Yeah Begovic would be awesome! But if we would sell Handanovic i would prefer Leno or Begovic! Cech is only 1-2 years solution! And I totally agree on the Perin point, he is good but I don’t know of he will be the world class keeper Inter needs!
yes !!! begovic can be a 4-5 year solution . another one would be the sporting goalkeeper Rui Patrício , leno and perin would both be expensive . if i had to chose i would chose begovic due to his monstrous hight 200cm . he’s also great all around as a keeper 🙂
Yeah would love to have Begovic in Inter! But he would be my 3 choice tho! Leno i my number one, Oblak number two and Begovic number three! If we sell Handanovic Inter would have the money to buy one of those players! They have the same price! 😉
what makes you say so . i don’t think they are in the same price range .
oblak is starting for a club who’s in the champions league quarter finals why would he leave for 9th place inter , leno is valued for 20m+ by leverkusen . on the other hand begovic has one year left at his contract and that means his value drops it’s the best time to get him maybe for something like 10-15-
Yes thats true! But iam going after the marker value that they have as a standard not what the club want for the player! Oblak, Leno and Handanovic is valued around 20 mill€! Then if Oblak or Leno doesn’t want to play for Inter is an other thing!
don’t you think that asmir would be a “steal” due to his contract ? oblak and leno are bit unrealistic
romero is free but i never rated him highly i think he is mediocre
Yeah Inter should go after Begovic because he is very good, cheaper and so on! Leno and Oblak is just what I want 😉 Romero would be a good 2 keeper in Inter.
Err giving Kovacic away and not getting a single player anywhere near his quality = bad idea in my opinion. Allan is good, but I’d have him together with Kovacic (and Brozovic) in a midfield trio.
Lucas – Allan – Brozovic is lacking something.
mancini is planing to play a 4-2-3-1 next season and has always used it b4. all the newspapers are pointing towards a 4-2-3-1 to be used next season . so i think it’s probably going to be something like this
———–icardi
???????-kovacic-shaqiri
——brozovic-??????
santon-murillo-??????-???????
————–??????—
? =new player
selling our older players like guarin , hernanes might get us some money , icardi shouldn’t be sold . as for kovacic i will wait for a full year with mancini to make my verdict
Please, MURILLO is in the same way with inter’s defender right now, we need more quality
i hope DRAGOVIC – SCHAR will our defender next season
Allan is Brozovic’s partner
Puscas is the name who i hope will get chance next season (lets gamble with our wonderkid)
have you seen murillo play ? .
Too good to be true…
