There are just two days until the Milan derby and there is a lot of speculation surrounding who Mancini will field as his starting eleven. In the last hours the idea that Mancini will field a back three has gained significant momentum and some believe we will see a 3-4-1-2 at the first minute.
In this formation we could have a return of Juan, Vidic and Ranocchia together with Santon and Danilo occupying the outside positions. Hernanes and Gary Medel will take up positions in the middle of the park with Shaqiri directly behind Palacio and Icardi.

vidic is still suck in back three, juan is in average on LB, better than put him at CB…i guess defence still missing someone like samuel, becoz we don’t have someone who does the dirty job and commands the backline like Samuel…4 backline is ok with vidic..and i think we still need to stabilize the midfield first, we still don’t have the right and balance combination there

this is just my view: kovacic/hernanes/shaqiri will struggle if they play deep/centre midfield role. base on the speculation here, hernanes will struggle from the 1 minute. again, it will be the midfield that would be the focal point in the derby, surely. i would slot campagnaro to partner medel. campagnaro is a defensive-centre-midfield player by nature and playing him as full back is just not right.
well then, why we changed Mazzarri in the first place and wasted that 3.5 million for? LOL
