After another day of mercato mayhem, the Italian papers have given us a sneak-peak of what is to come tomorrow:
La Gazzetta dello Sport: Salah’s future is hanging in the balance. Inter are preparing a blitz. The Egyptian has not decided whether to stay at Fiorentina or not. The Nerazzurri are readying an assault if an agreement is not reached with Fiorentina.
Tuttosport: It is Inter-Juventus for Salah and Cuadrado. Marotta and Mancini are on the hunt for playmakers. Today the Egyptian’s entourage will have talks with Fiorentina, Juve, and Inter. Tomorrow the Colombian’s agent will be at work.

I think it would be either Salah or Perisic, but not Cuad.

spurs missed CL because they got rid of Bale, who was easily their best player, and didn’t replace him with quality. we aren’t selling our best players; we’re just improving the weak points in the squad. it’s not really an analogous situation IMO

I prefer Salah over Perisic. Also why is no one talking of a new striker? We should be spending the big money on a partner/substitute for Icardi. What are we going to do if he gets injured?
I think Palacio will be a substitute for Icardi.

Completely agree with you, initially he was a winger few years back at Genoa, then he became more accustomed to being a second striker. Now I think his more suited for his age to be a striker, so yes he would be good choice as icardi sub given that inter does not have Europe.
If salah chose Inter, Mancini sure did a big part of it (again).

I don’t think that was right. Forza Inter really cares about Inter and follows every article and he was honestly stating his opinion. I hope Salah ends up with us as I have been following him since his Basel Days and I always thought he was a gifted and wonderful player otherwise Mou wouldn’t have bought him but why bash a legitimate and dedicated Inter supporter for his views?

I feel that it is risky too but what the heck? Can it be more risky than Guarin, Jonathan, Vidic, Rano, (not to mention many others), etc who also cost us a lot? Salah is decent and I am pretty sure he can be a game changer. Salah has genuine talent and it will depend on the coach to bring the best out of him. Is he worth it? For sure and much more if Mancini can get the best out of him.
But I am loving the risk Inter is taking after a long inactive horrible period of suffering. Winners take risks.

Hmmm…I think it is a different case altogether..Salah just didn’t fit into the ‘special one’s plans’ for the season. Mou had other ideas but that is not a reflection on how bad or good Salah is. Even the fact that he was given out on loan shows Mou is planning something with him in future..he has a habit of sending some players on loans and then bringing them back to be an integral part of his team. i think Matic is one of those case though I am not sure. Anyway we are with Mancini and I believe Salah is a Mancini type of player. But I like Salah.

He doesn’t do what Mou wants – like Mata before. He isn’t a complete player who will grit his teeth the final 20 minutes and play left back when needed. He is great to skip past a few players and go for goal however. I was surprised it worked in Serie A and next season the defenses will have adapted to his style.
He needs to add the “Nedved” mentality to his skill set…
yes that’s something i’ve been saying here. i remember when krasic came to juve he had a similar season then defense knew how to stop him. also a BIG thing is that he won’t play in his favorite position. he will play on the left side where isn’t nearly as effective. that’s why i prefer a right footed player like perisic.

If Inter were trying to break the bank Aubemyang springs to mind. I am not sure where Mancio is heading formation wise – you need 2 good wingers and not just one. So neither Perisic or Salah is the complete solution IMO.

Price based, Perisic is less risky, but experience wise Salah is the man since his 6 months at viola are proven great and critical. Perisic isn’t bad but not proved yet at serie-a. as long as ‘that’ much amount of money to take Salah didn’t cost us Kovacic i will say that Salah are less risky although getting Perisic with 15million is a steal too.
You can say same thing about Perisic, he failed in Borussia Dortmund.
