Adem Ljajic talked to Sky after assisting Icardi’s match winning goal against Bologna:
“I hadn’t played for a while and I missed the field, I’m happy that we won. I always give everything I got on the training ground and also during the matches, sometimes I don’t succeed in doing well but I never save my energy. This year many good players have arrived and we have a lot of quality, we just need to find the best way to play to put all the individual qualities together. My position? When I was young I played as second striker but I can cover all roles. I love playing behind the strikers because that’s where I have the most fun. Jovetic? He’s like an older brother for me, we’ve done a lot of nice things together and we’re hoping to play together here as well.”

Ohhhh do I dream of the day when Mancini learns how to play you all at once (Icardi, JoJo, Perisic, Ljajic)!! …..he should probably listen to us here at sempre lol
I also dream of the day when you guys all gel together …Hopefully soon!
From the tactic point of view, it’s almost impossible, or “suicidal” because it will expose Inter’s midfield. But from fans point of view, hell yeah, it should be done!
It really depends, it might not be suicidal depending on the instructions. If playing a 4-2-3-1 like this:
———–Icardi
Ljajic——-Jojo——-Perisic
——-melo—–medel
Juan-Murillo-Miranda-Santon
———-Handanovic
You would have a pretty defensively minded midfield to cover for the attacking players. However, it would be importantfor the wingers track back more compared to playing 4-3-3 type of system because the two midfielders can’t over wide without leaving gaps. We know Perisic can do this, because we have seen it in Wolfsburg and also to some degree here at inter. Ljajic howerever, is not the type to track back as much, which is why i have chosen Juan as the more defensive minded leftback compared to the likes of Telles/Dodo/Naga etc.
