After having won against Cagliari by 3-0, Martin Montoya was interviewed by Inter Channel about the win.
“I’m very happy, I’ve been waiting for a long time to play. I’ve played 90 minutes against Udinese, then tonight. I had a great will to be on the pitch. I think i did well against Udinese after 4 months of not having played, I didn’t expect this but I’m happy.”
Then Carrizo interrupted the interview saying: “I want to thank Monto for how he has behaved in the dressing room, he deserves this moment” to which Montoya thanked his teammate and continued: “In Spain you alwyas try to play possession football, here football is more tactical. Things are improving.”

may be too early to judge but the last couple of games were not demanding for our team, besides in only 5 mins I would rather to see Dodo playing instead of any other full back-
If Montoya shows a long term improvement he might just save his neck until at least next summer and that might mean that Inter can focus their investments in other areas of the squad this winter.
Let’s hope he does. But he’s still got a long way to go; kudos to him for having played 2 good games, but he needs to keep it up if he wants a chance to stay.
I hope he spoke this with a little bit Italian, just in case he will end at another Italian team.
I bet Mancio will start him again vs Lazio. He has done well against lesser opponent, now time for tougher opponent.
I hope so, just need someone to cover him defend
its too risky to put montoya in front of lazio wingers
Nice game in last 2 match
But the real test is in match vs lazio
Can’t wait
Mancio was only sending message to him that play for Inter not a downgrade. Eventough you came from Barca, you need to fight to get starting spot here
he came with bad attitude that changed, i could sense from the day he was unveiled he was unhappy, it was like if he was forced to come to Inter, and inter is bigger than everybody, the bench has taught him humlity and am happy he is becoming more and more valuable, cause we can get him cheap
he didn’t remember who beat barca in 2009-2010 UCL
as matter of fact he was on the bench that year, so maybe thats why he was a bit taken back, you have got to understand its his parent club, so he can always have love to his parent club, as long as he give his all to inter while playing here, thats professional football
I am happy to hear how he has remained humble while not playing(carrizo words). It means he is using what he has learned from barcelona dressing room to good use. I am happy with how our team is getting along and the chemistry. It is such things that we were lacking before
I wonder if Mancio wasn’t punishing him so long for coming here from Barca acting like a God among peasants. He did good today. He can do the fast one-twos, his passes are pretty decent, he ran until the very enc and although I didn’t see him do much defending today, D’ambrosio didn’t have to cover for him, so he was following orders correctly. I’d still like to see him in a bigger game in which we have to defend more, but I think he deserved a chance with those 2 games. If anyone have to get booted right now, it’s Nagatomo.
Well, the probability is there and we must admit that La Masia alumni are good footballer, mostly. I do hope we redeem him and unload Nagatomo, Dodo, Guarin.
well the reason mancio said he wasn’t playing wasn’t punishment or anything it was just simple. He wasn’t used to the italian game and wanted to prepare him for serie a. Definitely not a locker room problem when players like Carizzo come up and say his behavior in the locker room is great and he deserves this moment. Lets hope he stays
Actually he was like a fly with no head on the training ground before. He is Barca kid, he expect some runs from his teammates just like how in Barca are doing it… He had a very hard time to get into the game even in the training. The talent is there.
Luckily he starts to understand. Personally Im very surprised by him.
FORZA MONTOYA! For all the people that doubted him…guess what? He’s a BEAST like a said 10 days ago before ha started against Udinese. Currently the best RB at Inter, Hope he lasts longer rather than being sold in the January market
I never doubt him, cuz he’s indeed good in Football Manager lulz.
He’s my first choice also in FM lol, I redeemed him in the second season.
agreed happy for the man! Hopefully he stays with us it’d be a pity to lose such a talented player!
the way he came to the club with his frown face on, and the way he carelessly played the friendly and showed nothing, he deserved his place on the bench, but Mancini was excellent people person and he made feel good on the bench, now he has featured twice and i am imprssed, 4 monts out of action is alot, and he came back like he was playing games all the time… FORZA INTER, and only INTER
yes but he aint a fucking beast
Everyone is entitled to their opinion 🙂
i mean that if montoya is a beast so what was maicon? or what is alaba? alien?
Your argument is invalid. Because those players are something else. Maicon played for Inter 2010! Alaba plays for Bayern. You cannot compare these players Italian league. I’m not saying the Italian league is bad but it’s not La Liga or EPL.
Icardi is a beast but Lewandowski is better
Brozovic is a beast but Iniesta is better
Handanovic is a beast but casillas is better
Medel is a beast but he isn’t Zanetti or Cambiasso
