Transferguru Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that despite rumors circulating to the contrary, that Mauro Icardi will stay at Inter at least until the end of the season.
Di Mrazio writes on his homepage that “last seasons top goalscorer has amassed 8 goals in 19 matches this season and started yesterday’s match on the bench. However the Argentine striker won’t be leaving Inter today, as confirmed by his agent a few moments ago.”
This is a pure rumor and I don’t think anyone in the Inter management gave this any thought. They just bought Eder to compliment Icardi because they used to play together before. They turned down a good offer from Liverpool at the beginning of the transfer window which would have given them time to look for a replacement. If anyone is to leave that’s Jojo because he selfishly chooses to shoot from distance instead of pass the ball and often looses the ball with backheel passes and trick plays. He doesn’t want to track back and puts himself before the team. He started the season well but then got carried away thinking he’s Ronaldo. And the only Ronaldo in Inter is Luis Nazario a.k.a. Il Fenomeno!
Selling him now would be extreamly stupid; finding a replacement now will be impos and Jojo sucks and has sucked for months! Plus not to find a way to make a super young, very talented play fit into your way of playing is nothing but a defeat for any Coach! I mean he isn’t 28-29 years old and a “ready-made-player”, but still only 22 years and still learning!!!
We need to feed him and playing 4-3-3 is the way farward – with Perisic and Eder/Biabiany on the flanks and with Kondog/medel and Soriano and Banega (in the future behind him), a great right back and a one year older Telles on the left he will flurish!
very true.. Icardi just need midfielders who have enough brain cells to pass the balls forward to him, not mediocre pitbull who can only pass backward to Handa
