Lazio central defender Wesley Hoedt spoke with newspaper AD in his native Netherlands and spoke of his feelings towards the Giuseppe Meazza, where some of his compatriot’s have went down in football history: “Shortly before the winter break, I played at the San Siro against Inter. There they hosted great champions like Marco Van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Clarence Seedorf… It made a great impression on me, but unfortunately it was not full. It’s sad to see empty stadiums even if the vacuum impression is due to the fact that they are very large stadium: one in Bologna is 40 thousand capacity, to Rotterdam and to Excelsior with 4 thousand people it seems full. But the pitches are all great.”

it’s sad that when the team need the fans, the fans are not there for the team.. only when we win then the fans will appear all the sudden..TT
Easy solution I always say…
1. Excluding Curva Nord, keep 2nd tier closed until ticket sales allows it to be opened. A packed first tier will be much more pleasing to the eye than a crowd with spaces all through it.
2. Convert 3rd tier to sky boxes to be rented by the upper income citizens and companies which should take capacity down to about 66,000 which I think is perfect for Inter.
3. Do some research on the NBA and see how it’s teams for eg. Chicago Bulls handle their home games where the contest is only the major part of an all-round fan-centric experience. Where the fans will come to the game whether the side is in a good place or not.
4. Pressure AC Milan to get on board with this or GTFO !!!
ah, italia..
