Mauro Icardi talked to Mediaset Premium after Inter’s loss against Genoa:
“Of course it’s tough for the Champions League now, but until it’s mathematically impossible, we will try to get there. It will be hard because we fight against Roma, but we will do our best. Only four games are missing, and we need to get this fourth place. When we won with 1-0 it was good, but we could’ve scored more. The games against Carpi, Sassuolo, Lazio and Torino is where we should’ve got points, just as today. We should’ve scored, but didn’t manage to do so, and then they scored and won the game from a corner.”
Icardi continued:
“The formation changes? I think that we have a team where everyone is capable of doing well, we kow very well that every player has qualities. When we lose there are always many problems for us according to the press, but when we won noone said anything. This year we’ve suffered from not scoring goals and we could surely have scored many more.”
The captain concluded with talking about the future:
“I came here to win with this team. If there’s an offer for me, they have to talk with Inter. Otherwise I will remain.”
