According to Sky Sports, Brozovic is more than ever favourite to leave Inter for a fee not less than 30 million Euro. Heading to Milano is Manchester City’s Yaya Toure’ as he is seeking to free himself from his contract with the Citizens.

With other good players , Brozovic is a very very good player, and he’s still young.
But instead of rewarding him for his good season and giving him a new contract, Mr. Mancini will bring Yaya Toure who can’t even run anymore.
Why not bringing also Jo, Pato, Zabaleta and Falcao since we’r at it?
Yaya is a proven midfielder whereas Brozo is trying to get there… I think Yaya could help us more than any of the current midfielders that we have-

so if we can invest 30+ from broz on r.rodrigez and darmian, and replace broz wit yaya for fre…tht would be inter on steroids 🙂

This will have a massive impact on our midfield’s work rate, Brozović is one of the most hardworking players we have while Toure will be walking 90% of the game.
Not only that, but Mancini is hell bent on getting him so he’s going to end up here no matter what at this point I’m afraid. That means that he’s going to eat up a good chunk of our salary cap, because we know he won’t take a pay cut, as well as Man City will most likely try to fleece us of some money cause who wouldn’t want to make money off of a lazy mid way past his prime?
The only bright side is that he could help Kondo and the other midfielders with his guidance, but overall I think this is just a plain bad move. Another Vidic, Melo, Rocchi, etc.
Not to mention that Toure would take our last non-EU spot… I’m hoping we don’t sign Toure. But who knows, maybe he proves all of us wrong, signs for Inter and becomes a full mode beast. But I doubt it.
I’m afraid that this move will just again support the fact that Mancini is an incompetent, stubborn and idiot coach and that we won’t go far while he is still in charge
You cannot compare Melo to Rocchi,Vidic etc!Melo proved as all wrong at the start of the season!And Melo was a BEAST!But when the team went bad he was bad too like everyone!Melo wasn’t bad!

Melo was okay for a few games, overall he had a below par seasons and really doesn’t have the level to play for us…
I’ll agree. He was consistently reliable at the start, scored a goal and provided good defensive cover, but he faded off and began doing his normal stupid play and picked up a couple reds, hurting us more than anything. The way I see it, we have Medel and Kondo for defensive mids, Melo can surely go and was honestly never needed.

That is not work rate. That is their abilities, but work rate is how hard a player is trying, how much he runs each game. For example Toure has almost no work rate. Walk 90% of the game and try to use his abilities when he actually goes after the ball. On the other hand, Perišič’s work rate is top notch, that is why even in the early season when he was out of form, he was still useful due to his contant presence from running all game long.
