Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that he is interested in defensive midfielder Gary Medel. The German manager flew into the United States to watch ‘‘El Pitbull” play in action when he reportedly attended two matches of the Copa America Centenario: the group stage match and final between Argentina and Chile, in which Argentina won the group stage match but Chile became overall back-to-back winners.
The Chilean international has been declared transferable by Inter Milan and the club is willing to let him go if a club can pay more than 16 million dollars for his transfer. If the Liverpool reports are true, he will be back in the Premier League for a second time, following his spell at Cardiff City a couple of seasons ago.

How much would you reckon we potentially could get Garay? This as a backup/starter CB. To me it would make sense to sell:
– Medel for 15-18m
– Rano for 8-12m
Buy:
– Garay at say 12-14m?
I am afraid Miranda or Murillo will get injured during the season. Miranda due to age and Murillo because of his crazy tackles. Hence, we would need a class sub that could also push these two to perform.
Use Brozo and Kondogbia as “DMs” with Melo and Gnok as subs, if we cant get Witsel at a decent price (would prefer to wait for him to Jan/June for little-to-free and use Brozo until then).
Put the extra money on Candreva and/or Jesus. Brozo and Witsel are at a similar level in my mind, but Brozo can be sold for like 25m next season with Witsel coming in for much less due to expiring contract.
As long as we get Witsel, he could go- I admire his affords in the field though-

If Medel is sold, that would mean Ranocchia will be first choice backup for CB, which is reason enough to not sell Medel,

if we could raise 30-35m with the sale of Medel and Brozovic and get Biglia and Witsel for ~the same amount that would be an excellent deal for us and a huge boost for our (pretty one-dimensional) midfield
if he watched the final then he won’t buy him, medel made a deadly rare mistake in that game which flopguain didn’t capitalize on and I lost money in the final was betting on Argentina, anyway I like medel and like him to stay 13m is peanuts

And who can we buy? €13-15m and if you add sale of someone like Santon(if we ever manage to get rid of him) you get enough money to buy someone like Witsel. Nobody is going to pay $20m for Medel.

They are turning down €25m for Candreva because Lotito is a greedy moron that wants to squeeze every penny out of the buyers, not because Candreva is worth that much.
Also, Bonucci isn’t worth €60m, they are simply offering €60m. They are massively overpaying because Juventus doesn’t want to sell. In our case, we wouldn’t mind selling Medel, which is why they can overpay less to secure him.
valuing a player and selling him are two different things. Pogba can be valued at 120, even if he worths 60. these prices mean they do not necessarily want to sell them, but if a team is desperate enough, ‘there you go, pay the f*ck up’

There is no doubt that Higuain is a good striker. But clearly he does not worth 94m. You could buy 2 Benzema s with that price!! Juve are going to get 120m for Pogba, and it is in our interest that they waste that money!
