Gazzetta dello Sport have boldly suggested Joao Mario is just one step away from joining Inter. The finish line is in sight and negotiations to close the deal are ongoing. Inter will acquire the European champion for 40 million euro upfront and Sporting could receive a further 5 million in bonuses. Initally, Sporting were reluctant to let him go but now it is clear he wants a move they have lessened their demands. Earlier in the summer, Suning attempted to acquire the midfielder and then loan him to Inter before selling him to them at a later date but were unsuccessful in their bid to do so. Inter need to close talks over the weekend to allow the player to undergo a medical on Monday and sign a contract, believed to be a 5-year-contract worth 3 million net a year. Sporting kick start their domestic campaign tomorrow and it is not known whether or not Joao Mario will feature.

Actually Im not to convince with their euro champion title bcoz they have so much luck especially with the new rules applied.
I want to see renato sanchez in this team, he performed superbly on euro, however I still think that we need to buy what we are needed, not what we want to buy

Remember the days we used to refused to splurge mere 30mil on sure talent the likes of Hazard and Verratti. I’ve always like to see Joao Mario play, I mean his intelligence and movement, he’s hardworking and can take set pieces. I don’t undertand however how he merits a 45mil transfer fee. He doesn’t make that big an impact on the pitch.
I heard it’s 10mill loan then we pay the rest later. If we sell Brozovic for 25-30mill then from what I’m hearing it would be an upgrade…. Still don’t trust Portuguese players and/or players who play in Portugal.

some people are a little skeptical about the price. but tbh, the market has seen some huge inflation lately. Sane for 45m, higuain and pogba for 90m+ and stones for 50m+. it’s how things work right now. mario coming would probably put brozovic in the market. could get 30-35m for him.
edit: heard nothing but good things about joao mario. some people are saying videos don’t do him justice. gonna be watching some sporting games from last season.

I dont think that we are going to sell wanda…at least not this season…why?! Cuz We have been building a WHOLE team around him…he is a good finisher…but without dribbling skill …because of that we built the whole team…to create chances for him !
So why we need to keep him if can dribble or pass two or three defenders. Just sell icardi not less than 60m and am sure we can find better that him with this money. Examples Yannick Bolasi, Lukaku, Benteke, ect

A two footed hard working team player who can play anywhere at the field. He can make accurate crosses as a wing, he can win all the challenges as a CM (made a fool of Pogba in Euro) and he can see all of his teammates as a box-to-box director. Can be something between Nainggolan and Dejan Stankovic. But 45M? Really?

I did a little reasearch about him and many claimed he’s definitely one of the best in portugal if not the best talent. His main speciality is versatility and football intelligence. Not sure if he worth the money, but I do really hope we can sign him since he seems perfect in right midfielder in 433. I dont mind to lose brozovic if we can have him. He’s a tireless warrior on the field and a humble guy off the field. Love it.
And report says we r using 10m loan and 35 obligation next season thus wont affect much on FFP this year. It would be better though if can split the payment throughout 2-3 years just like candreva deal.
He is great player, and even jorge jesus only want to leave benfica to be sporting coach if he stays, i think people dont like him because his style of play not flashy

Different role i think, william more like box-to-box, at the other hand mario builds up attack and more creative.. They’re good in their own role
