After his side’s 1-0 victory versus Paços de Ferreira, Sporting CP coach Jorge Jesus moved to contradict reports suggesting João Mário had been removed from the matchday squad due to his imminent move to Inter:
“João Mário is a Sporting player, this is not in question, it had nothing to do with Inter. He suffered a blow in training. I did not call him up to the squad in order to avoid worsening the situation. He could have played but it would have been risky. I was afraid that it could do more harm. If nothing changes, he will he will play as normal next Sunday versus FC Porto in O Clássico.”

He was as injured as Shaq had “low fitness” for us. Have a little patience, guys. It’s a matter of 5 mil that separates him from us, we’ll get him.
The actual quote according to Calcio Mercato says they have to safeguard him from injury because of the transfer.
“His physical conditions did not allow him to join his teammates, his absence is not to be linked with negotiations with Inter.”
“We have to safeguard a player who might leave the club. He could have played in other circumstances, but not today, that would have been risky.”
Sorry didnt get it!…so he will come or not ?!
In other words. He hasn’t trained and he isn’t match fit. They would rather keep him on the bench and sell him, than risk playing him and an injury occurring.
Thank you :)! ,,,hope to see him ASAP,,,cuz his work rate is insane…and we really need this kind of flare in Midfield
Let him play for sporting and rot in there
JUST WTf?!!!!!! now Im so angry ><"
I’ll be furious if we don’t get him after this long lasting saga..
the only difference between us and sporting is 5mil and 10% cut from next sale to sporting
its not buyback clause, i think they want 10% cut on the future resale not just if we sale him back to sporting. thats mean his price +5mil+10% future price tag. thats too much for unproven player like him. i just hate the fact that sporting has a greedy owner.
He better not be playing in O Clássico
