With the transfer market being shut, Inter must choose only 22 players to participate in the Europa League. In fact, Inter must decide by midnight! According to GDS, the Nerazzurri must respect the rules and the choices will be dictated more by financial and technical aspects. UEFA imposed that every new name to the competition are to respect the “balance-sale” which prevents teams from fielding new signings that total over the sales (departures) of the club.
To clarify, Inter have collected a total of 90M (30M from youngsters, , 29M from Kovacic, 13M from Guarin and 11M from Hernanes) over the summer, and spent a whopping 215M for Kondogbia, Joao Mario, Gabigol, Candreva and Jovetic.
The Nerazzurri are about 125M in the negative which will prevent some key players to participate in the group stage, which starts September 15th against the Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva F.C.

I don’t understand how such a system could lead clubs to be at the same level to have a fare game level and rase competition, it just make a bigger gab between clubs and it drags big clubs such as Inter to a lower level, just because the club was in debt before applying the system, so it means we can’t catch to clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid, its not fare at all, I think they should let Inter discuss their project on how they are going to level the balance in a logical timeline.
FFP rules are a sham just like Plantini..it should be disregarded since he got banned..I read an article that said Italian teams spent little over 700 Mil this market, and BPL teams spent almost double that!!! That’s almost 1.4Billion…bullshit ffp rules keeping inter from growing stronger
for those wondering, this is the cumulative amount since 2014. we’ve spent about 220m euros on players and sold for around 130-40m in the current FFP period (2014-5-6), which is about to end
the next 3-year term is about to start in 2017, thats why it was/is important to keep in check with UEFA regulations this year, because we’ve already been fined for money and can register only 21-22 players instead of 25 for any UEFA competition. the next step could be the elimination from tournaments (like Malaga, Dinamo, Galata, just to name a few from the near past)
Those who write this article n Rules is an anti INTER!! DAMN
Is the person who wrote this on drugs or??? The financial year goes from 2015-2016 (which was the year we bought in Kondogbia and sold Kova for the same amount!!) and then a new financial year runs from 2016 (January)-2017, and in this periode we sold Guarin, got the Alvarez money and more plus bought in Candreva, Mario and Gabi.
don´t mix two years transfer activities up!
Thats why i do not understand about this news.. U are right
no, you are wrong. Financial year for football clubs starts in June/July and ends in June/July the next year. You are free to determine your financial year at your own preferences. That’s why football clubs (or at least most of them) choose their FY to start and end similar to season
keep calm. just need some sponsors come in just like what m,city did with his own etihad company to bail out this ffp.
i don’t give a shit about FFP , psg and mancity break every rule in the book , Euorope league never been an interesting tournament espacially with this silly prizes . put primavira players and focus on seria A
Does this rule apply to group stage only? We can still register our best players for knock out phase, right?
Where are they getting 215M from?
Jovetic – 14
Gabigol – 28
JM – 45
Kondogiba – 31
Candreva – 22
Total: 140M
What am i missing here?
125…LOL, Very wrong Typo
What typo?
like Samer Alfahad’s 90 Million Euro typo
Jheison Murillo..LOL
a.k.a rechristened.
The news…It should 125 million. Just look one comment that share link article
No typo LOL, 125 million is our negative sheet we need to balance, it came from 215 – 90.. idk where they got the number 215million but its not typo..
basically everyone else since 2014…
there are misinformations (probably due to language barrier) in the article, but the amounts are correct
EL is fairly irrelevant anyways, its not like Inter realistically could challenge for it with a full team anyways. It should mainly be backups playing in the EL
2nd-3rd place in the league is all that matters this season, though im not having high hopes about it.
You know that the EL champions plays CL next season as well. And how is it that Inter cannot challenge for the EL title?
One name. Manchester United.
Nah, their football is shit. I bet my left nut on any spanish/portugese club if it’s EL we’re talking about
Interesting. Mourinho and Ibrahimovic and they started PL with 3 wins and you say that? Hohoho. 😀
Exactly, domestic league is the top priority of any PL clubs not named Liverpool. I mean why bother competing seriously in a competition that only rewards you slightly bigger prize money than English Carling Cup, with opponents as insanely competitive as Sevilla, Valencia, Porto, Benfica or Celtics?
Even CL rewards you less than BPL tv contract. That is one highly dysfunctional league the PL.
unfortunately no Joao Mario, Jovetic, Kondogbia and Gabigol

Fukk. At least we can count on them in Serie A. Only Southampton match worry me
So what? No Mario, no Barbosa, no Candreva?
I don´t like the FFP rules of UEFA. It has strenghtened the position of established top clubs such as Barca, Real, Bayern. The gap is bigger now and clubs are more struggeling to catch up.
Not only the “established club” but also all clubs from BPL (thank new tv deal for that). Almost 3/4 of all BPL participants have broken their own transfer record this season. The way it is now, we’re fucked.
Yes you are right. If sunning invests a lot then we are not much f**ked.
Nah, 100 M total investment they made this transfer window is enough investment for any club (except BPL clubs). We’re fucked, but the overall situation isn’t as dire as it seems. At least when they charge the squad restriction penalty next season, we will finally be able to get rid of the lord-lings.
Mannn this is suck to the core. Damn platini’s legacy
Platini was former juventino, the club where he took corruption 101 lesson
Yes , since FFP regulations juve became stronger and stronger and developed a monopoly position. Maybe this rule was used to revenge.
