Gianluca Di Marzio clarified the situation of Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, who it emerged was a target of Inter.
“In fact the former Lazio player has never pushed not to move to Inter. The brother and agent of Lichtsteiner requested only to Juventus willingness to consider offers from Italy, with Juventus willing, however, only to sell the player abroad with proposals from West Ham and Leicester but have not found the agreement with the Swiss.
“There is no real possibility of the sale, then. There is, however, the renewal assumptions, that was the priority Lichtsteiner who wants to end his career at Juventus and then do the course in Coverciano to start a new path as a coach.
“The Swiss defender has asked for a much higher salary to extend his contract expiring in 2017, getting the ‘no’ from Juventus. But in the last days he would be satisfied with a smaller sum to find an agreement. But there is an option in the contract of Lichtsteiner allowing Juventus to automatically extend the player’s contract, to be exercised by January. If this does not happen, the Bianconeri will have to pay a penalty of €750,000 to the Swiss,” it said on the website of the journalist.
The player, meanwhile, has been excluded from the Champions League list. For Juventus, it is a technical choice, since it came down to a choice between Hernanes and Lichtsteiner. Considering the absence of Marchisio in the first part of the season, they decided to pick the Brazilian sacrificing Lichtsteiner,”
This is a clear signal of how Lichtsteiner has been relegated to third choice in Allegri’s hierarchy for the right wing behind Dani Alves and Cuadrado. This may be a reason that forces Juventus to resolve the situation by January” writes Di Marzio.

well Inter cannot get any worse, but i have said that before and got burned so i will not commit to that statement either. About FFP, you have these teams run by these old hags that can’t change with the times like AC Milan and Inter and then you have teams with newer owners like JUVENTUS who change with the times…….clearly you forgot that Juventus own their own stadium !
stadium ?! I think that we are going to have one soon
let’s be honest….me and you will not be alive when inter gets their own stadium !
Hahahahha why how old are you ?! Grandpa :))))
I plan to live another 100 years and i can guarantee inter still won’t have their own stadium by then !!
good luck! ,,,,but I still believe in Inter and still have hope about this subject !
well one thing is for sure….with inter’s last 5 years of 6th 9th 5th 8th and 4th place finishes inter was never a threat to Juve !
isn’t it funny that of the 2 Juve players at the very bottom of the Juve totem pole that one is an ex-interista and the other one is a soon-to-be Interista…..J
The funnier part is that you have less CL than us… With all great players that you have, you never win treble isnt more funny?
Actually if you really wnat a laugh try answering this….if inter only averaged 0.5 pints per game against Chievo and Palermo, what will they average against Juventus and Napoli ???
just becoz you dont have a decent answer as a reply for Inter DiHati you dont need to bring up some if clauses. thats ridicolous. just proves how speechless you are. stick to the facts. you trying to do what we did chasing the triple.
and only the fact that you think coz of that first two games you will know the result of games vs juve n napoli shows how less you understand bout football.
football doesnt work like that but i think you dont even wanna understand:)
it’s funny but you talk about a trophy that inter only wins every 45 years and has not qualified for in the last 5 years ? let’s talk facts: INTER HAS PLAYED ZERO CL GAMES IN THE LAST 5 YEARS !! If I were you i would try to qualify for Europa league because that is where Inter Belongs and leave the CL to the only team in Italy that has a chance of winning it and that is JUVENTUS.
the fact is we have it and you not coz juve will never become as good as inter had been and will be again.
i read actually between the lines that you are satisfied with competing in champions league. okay. i guess thats something only juve fans know about. i cant front on that.
but we prefere to do something outstanding instead. fine.
but dont worry. just keep on riding your wave as long as you can. it wont last long anymore then you cant even argue bout being proud in “competing” in ucl. hrhrhr
ridicolous.
TRUE! Somehow i agree with your point on this 😀 but if i may add a little bit, it supposed to be like this “… the only team in Italy that has a chance of winning it (and never be able to win it, let alone win 3 trophies in 1 competitive year) and that is RUBENTUS.”
how many trophies have Inter won in the last 5 years ? what is it ? ZERO!!!!! you should try opening the trophy case to dust it but who needs the key to open it, it’s not like inter has any plans to add anything to it anytime soon……….
You know where Inter has played ZERO games? In SERIE B.
once again i hear all this ancient history can’t we talk about today ? what place is inter in serie a so far ?
football works like this ….the team that scores the most goals against their opponents wins….when you core 0.5 goals per game you average 0.5 goals per game !!
And how many goals did you scored to get a CL trophy? Never be enough i guess LOL
it’s funny but i think you should be talking more about setting realistic goals for Inter like for example: TRY SCORING AT LEAST 1 GOAL AGAINST CHIEVO !!
And tell me what rubes average against Fulham? LOL
hes speechless now… hrhrhr
sorry but my memory only stretches 5 years back but it’s probably the same average as inter against Novara
you have 0 UCL in the last 5 years ! if i were you i would be happy to see your team win coppa TIM !
Serie b
