Erick Thohir spoke with Inter Channel about the new model in which Inter are basing themselves off of as well as sharing some thoughts on the victory over Juventus:
“We’ve invested a lot in the youth sector. Now the Primavera can train at Appiano with the best. If we chose De Boer then it’s precisely because we wanted to follow his Ajax model, which has always been very attentive to young talents.”
“It would be beautiful if lads like Miangue, Gnoukouri and Radu made the first team. Maybe next year, Dimarco could also return.”
He then moved on to speak on the Derby D’Italia win: “The win against Juventus showed our strength, not only on the pitch: we set a Serie A record for gate receipts, which also happened last year.”
“Inter are taking a new direction and we’re also attentive to the corporate level. We’ll be back among the 10 best clubs in the world.”

what Ajax, model, Ajax doesnt win champions league… Inter has been having the strongest youth system in Italy long before you came.. Since Facchetti days… He is business man who travels alot and doesnt know what he is saying half of the time.
Ajax or Barcelona model… the focus should be on given talented players a chance – when ready!! – in the 1.team, like Barca and Ajax do…we have never done that, Moratti and co. only thought about the profit the youngster could provide NOW and then bought in yet another foreigner to sit on the bench!
if inter wants to win in Italy, this model will not work, you need to depend on big name or experienced players if you want to win
Inter has the best youth academy in Italy, and among the best in Europe… who said we are no depending on our Youth does names like Balotelli, Ogbonna Benassi & Santon Sound familiar to you…
Those names all ring bells, and that’s also why the club now want to keep these youngsters and bring them into the squad when ready, not like with Moratti; only used as bargain-chips to lower the price of an older player. Ajax and Barca are build with own talents AND older establish stars, and that’s the way forward!
I’m not against Inter depending on young talent. but talking about Barcelona and Ajax… is wrong because these teams are winning their league matches and titles consistently. Year in, year out and Inter is not, Inter philosophy is not clear. Inter is struggling to win titles and matches for the last 6 to 7 years. Inter should assemble a winning team and looking separately at the club philosophy that will operate and give us results on the long run.
yada yada yada. go back to sleep on Inter game Thohir.
I feel this guy follows what the coach dictates him, with every coach he wants to follow a different model.. can’t he be one of his own?
No why man! Thohir said more or less the same when he bought the club, that he wanted to go for the most talented youngsters out there and create a team with an average age-limit at around 24-25. He also said he like the attacking 4-2-3-1 system which all rimes with Ajax/Barca, right?
He then bought in a coach, Mancini, whom were expected to play an attractive 4-2-3-1 and give the youngster a chance to shine – but the didn’t! He was just calling for the club to buy “old, ready made” players like Zabaletta and Yaya, and thats why he left us! He didn’t fit into the way the club is thinking now, but FRANKY does!
This is not what I meant, remember when he bought the club? Few months later he went to Madrid and after coming back he said he wants to follow Real Madrid model and now with De Boer he wants to follow the Holland model.. He never mentioned Ajax before nor Barca and he said he likes 4-2-3-1 system when he bought Mancini, he even gave his maximum trust two weeks before firing Mazzarri and the same happened two weeks before firing Mancini, so this man TALKS bullshit.
Is it clear now?
The only thing that’s clear to me is that YOU talk bullshitt! Thohir said when asked that his favorite system was indeed 4-2-3-1 and that he wanted to focus on youngsters. The real model was the model they use when selling youngsters; they include an buy-back option, just like they did with Morata. Mazarri said he was preparing his team to play 4-2-3-1 but we never saw it on the pitch and Mancini played that way or with a 4-4-3 at City so he should have fitted in well. But he never had the energy to work with youngsters aThohir requered from him and therefor he left.
Lol are u serious? That’s why I talk bullshit? You fucking smart ass baboon, your argument is the formation only while I’ve talked about the model Tohir wanted to follow and I talk bullshit? You’re a fucking retard.
Ps : regarding selling youngsters with the buyback option just show me where he did it!
We have a buy back option in every single player that he sold, like fx Bonazzoli and more which was called the Real Mardid model, but you- “Mr all mighty Know-It-all”, knew this of cause!
I hope you’re correct, I didn’t know that about bonazzoli, but Real Madrid model isn’t this Mr I understand it all, Real Madrid can pay any fee they want to buy who ever they want that’s bcz of the way they market their brand! Not the buy back option
Yes it really is, they included an buy back option on Morata I think he his name is, who went to Juve, and then two years later they bought him back for a bit more than they received earlier. And they do that either every single of their youngsters who are bring sold off.
Looks like we’ll have a LB next year. Dimarco on the left and Ansaldi on the right. No more seeing D’Ambro Or Naga starting that often
dont wana take his side but that wasnt a foul 🙂
True. But what you can expect from serie A ref + against rubentus
yea and it was late so red card wouldn’t hurt as bad
And chellini along with ~steiner never deserved any red card nor it was obvious
Thank God we didnt buy that lichsteiner dude..i always hated that guy
Ajax model without the selling of all our good players please
that is why i am worried about.
it’ll be great without “year zero’s” anymore
Well, FDB has to prove it first by playing Gnoukori instead of Melo first!!
