Frank De Boer time at Inter is over. Now the board of the Black and Blue are trying to find a replacement for the Dutchman. Pioli, Leonardo, Hiddink are some names linked to Inter. Marcelino, former coach Villareal, is the new name for Inter. He has been contacted Suning to sit on Inter bench fot the rest of the season. A meeting with his agent is already scheduled in Milan.

just to inform you who this guy is, he coached villareal for the last 3 years, he left before the start of this current season. his team has been compared to atletico madrids due to the two sides similar playing styles. IMO he would be the perfect coach for us before diego simeone comes in. and just to remind everyone simeone has a contract with atletico until 2018. so we don’t just need a caretaker we need a a manager for atleast 2 season, marcelino would be the best bet.
Million agents are calling Suning now offering there no-name clients to the club! No wonder; he gave a good example but hiring a coach with 4 years of coaching experience from the same club in Holland, nothing else!

What’s his biggest accomplishment as a player or as a manager?
His biggest accomplishment is his career as a manager at Villarreal in the last few seasons, brought them back to La Liga and made them a stable top half of the table club, reaching semifinals of EL last season.. Do you people even follow football outside of Italy, his Villarreal has been a hit this last few seasons in La Liga. He is kinda famous for promoting teams from second league to La Liga and his work with Villarreal showed he is capable of even greater things. He got fired before the start of the season because of some disagreements with the board and some players.
I really don’t care who takes the bench until Simeone comes, but Marcelino could be a good choice. Although Pioli seems like a favorite.
Thanks, I don’t really follow the other leagues like I used to, basically just Serie A these last three seasons. I wonder what’s going through Simeone’s mind, is he really going to take on a new project that requires a huge amount of work at this current Inter situation.
I believe he will, he doesn’t seem like a type of person that only cares about money and if afraid of challenges. We have to remember that Atletico was in a similar situation like Inter when he arrived (although they had some good results but they weren’t stable), but Inter has way more money then Atletico back then and Inter doesn’t need to sell their best players like Atletico had back then. Simeone is about passion and he is passionate about Inter. I believe we already have agreement with him and that is why he cut his contract short with Atletico in the summer.
