Suning will be landing in Milan to have their first meetings regarding Inter’s new coach. They are looking for a coach that will raise the morale of the team and fix the mess they are in. The favorite being Stefano Pioli.
While the team begins a training session in Southampton, Piero Ausilio will leave for Milan to attend the meeting around noon.
While Pioli remains in pole position, because he is familiar with the Serie A. Other candidates include Andre Villas-Boas and Marcelino who have never managed in Italy and could face the same troubles as Frank De Boer.
Pioli will remain in Parma until the green light is given by the management.
Suning will spend the next couple of days to examine their options and have a clearer vision of who they will hire as the new manager.

Well…Pioli only can stay maybe Late December or early January. Coz we have tough opponent in November to December. Then get sacked. Guidolin replace it. And then get sacked coz Inter out in Italian Cup and Lost to Rube, Then Vecchi replaced it coz there’s no more stupid coach whose willing to train Inter with this chaotic management. And then we ended in, maybe rank 10. And the BIG SUPRISE is Simeone doesn’t want to coach Inter. He prefer to extend his contract or rather go to BPL.

I totally agree. I was never a fan of Mancini but i was totally against firing Mancini in August. Either you fire him in June or you stick with him at least until winter break.

And the moment they bring an attacking-minded coach who likes playing youngsters no one wants to give him time! I mean the guy didn’t even have a pre-season! He deserved a bit time. Come on man, to everyone defending FDB, Yes FDB didn’t have a pre-season, he inherited a physically unfit squad, he didn’t sign any player he wanted and so on, but hey that’s the life of a football manager. A manager can’t always have an ideal start (Long pre-season and enough transfer funds to get the players he wants). You have to do the best with what you got. He brought confusion to an already confused environment. A good manager is flexible and adapts his tactics after the characteristics of his squad. You can’t expect D’Ambrosio, Nagatomo, Medel, Melo and Brozovic and the others to play tiki-taka football. FDB didn’t have a plan B. He doesn’t understand Italian football. Like his agent said “FDB was the right person in the wrong place”. He belongs in Spain or Holland.

the article wasn’t even about being a fanboy of mancini, it was what was best for inter’s situation…we need stability for a couple of seasons so a team can actually get chemistry and not have to worry about whos coaching the next match. is pioli the absolute best option for inter? no. even de boer wasnt the best option for inter. but they act on impulse. its going to keep haunting us until they finally stick with someone.

Agree with most of what you write.. beside “Mancini isn’t a good coach for us”.. I actually think he was a very good choice for us! He know how to pull a team together, he know tactics, he has structure, he has reputation out in euorop few other has and he can build teams.. so he would had been perfect to have till we get/if we get Simeone.. So he could had started with a well picked and organized team!
in terms of bringing players in, and building a team- he’s exactly what we needed, which is why i was for him staying. he brought a lot of talent that we needed. He did what he had to do to win. was it pretty? not at all. which turned people off. Because we are inter fans, we are never happy. so we were in first place winning 1-0 every game and people weren’t happy because “we didnt play good football” but that really means- “he isnt simeone, i want simeone and he sucks because he is not simeone”
eventually the luck and poor play caught up to us and we went from 1st to 4th
look at how we won the treble- mancini brought in talent- given the circumstances, yes juve wasn’t there but mancini instilled a winning mentality into a much needed squad. When mancini was fired- mourinho came in, brought in a few new faces and we won.

TBH i wouldnt say he failed. he was asked to bring a shit team from 8th place and work a miracle. 4th place is exactly where we deserved to be. we wouldnt have lasted in champions league. let alone, we cant even make it in europa.
