Harsh words said by Dennis Bergkamp at Frank de Boer. Former assistant manager at Ajax, informed the press, talking to the microphones of Santos Magazine:
“Ajax and the Dutch football are original. Originality is associated to our people over the centuries, since the Middle ages. Our master painters were original, never copied.”, said Bergkamp. “His looked like a game for the sake of position, as if the aim was to reach a holding of the ball as high as possible. It is football without purpose. You have to try the adventure, have the courage to play football, the courage to take risks and not to take refuge in a wait-football.”

Damn these Dutch people have so high thoughts about them selfs, only they know how to play an original game, comparing the Dutch game to the fact that they have had a couple of original painters that never copied anyone, and that’s why no Dutch coach should copy anyone either!!
What kind of crap is that?? As if the Dutch invented football!
They know how to play in their one dimensial 4-2-3-1 kind of way, in Spain they play in another way, and in Italy yet another and every country have had great panthers as well that never needed to copy from anyone else!
The only ones that in football have copied other countries still of football is England.
Besides to talk shit about your former boss just makes me sick! Shame on you Bergkamp!
I don’t state that De Boer is the best coach in the world, but you just can’t win four titles in a row with football without purpose! And it’s time Inter management to understand, that you have to choose your coach very carefully, someone who fits to your long term project and philosophy of play. But when you make your decision, you have to give him peaceful environment and enough time to develop his ideas, no matter the results or pressure from outside the club!
Bergkamp is absolutely right.
Inter played clueless football, without purpose, when De Boer was coach. Just look at how often we ended making a stupid cross in the final 3rd, because they had no idea what else to do.
sadly we began that ‘brainlessly’ movements of play since I remember like after 2011..we played like a little bird chasing its mother. 1-2 games good, then then next game was clueless…and it’s on and on until now, no character of play
De Boer needs more time to adapt, problem is Inter can’t give him more time for trial and error, Inter must succeed immediately, therefore De Boer is not suitable for Inter.
Yeah he needed more time to lose 25 more games and teach his ideas to our players in Serie B.
Hahaha exactly
Before 25 games he’d already lose the dressing room also, so out he is. And out he was.
and still crying “I needed more time…”
We have done so the last 6 years my friend
Remember when Bergkamp was getting donkey of the week all the time by the papers when he played for us.
He was a flop nothing else – Djorkaef was our man back then
They should cut him some slack even if most of the things are true.
Agree he had the guts to get in with only two weeks to go before season start in a country he doesn’t know without speaking the langue
But FDB Is a topic closed.

but that pass that he gave to you was nice in 1998
Yes, but it was Bergkamp’s control and finish that mattered the most in getting the goal.
Bergkamp scored that with just three touches, not 93% ball possession.
